The Iraqis were more war criminals before American invasion of Iraq in 1991 and 2003. They invaded their neighbor, targeted purposely Iranian highly populated cities with missiles killing thousands of civilians and used chemical weapons against defending Iranian soldiers. Taliban did lots of crimes against the people of Afghanistan before they were kicked out by Americans. So please lets not target America when it comes to war crimes. You are clearly biased against America. These are not excuses these are facts.

All countries have done their share of bad deeds. US of A is not alone. The British, the Russians, the French, the Romans, the Arabs, The Persians, The Israelis, The Germans, The Austrians, the Japanese the Mongols, and the list goes on to include almost every country in the world. Unfortunately this is the human nature. Once they become powerful they start abusing and oppressing other people or other nations. This is true for individuals as well as countries.

oh stop the nonsense defending cowards like skinheads. They attack people of colored skin whether Muslim or not and they have been attacking them for decades in groups. If they are fair they should attack those who commit those crimes not randomly attacking anyone of color skin. They are a few assaults by Muslims in Europe and also there have been assaults by non-Muslims and whites..Any coward may rape and murder and these actions are not limited to Muslim immigrants. Shut down anything positive about Muslim women!!!!!. Nobody is trying to shut down anything quite the opposite I am trying to attract attention to the plight of Muslim women in certain parts f the world. The lack f rights and equality, the forced hijab, the being attacked or arrested for refusing to comply, the family and cultural pressures, the inability in some countries to enter politics or decide fr themselves, t lack of rights to education and health and even driving in Arabia. You as a women should be more concern and sensitive to witness these issues for the hundreds of millions f female population than I do but you are trying t shut down discussions on the oppression of women and their lack of rights and freedom. Again the debate is about their entrance to Canada not AFTER they are here. Then I have said it twice before they should be allowed to wear what they wish to wear if it is their choice and anyone who may harm them in any way physical or emotional must be punished severely to the maximum allowed by the hate laws as this would be a clear case of hatred towards those individuals.

I don't reject equality between men and women but I do believe women are better than men because in MY view women are proven to have bigger hearts (nobody can deny this) and bigger minds too (they do better than men in education and at work). These are the factors which I see as being better not the physical size. They work harder (sometimes doing two jobs at work and at home) and smarter and men are responsible for most of crimes and almost all f the wars in the world. Men are making more mistakes than women and women are proven to be generally speaking more observant and given equal opportunities (which they have been denied for all of human history) they would do better than men. We are all the result of evolution and women are more advanced stage of evolution than men. I know for sure that if women were running this world instead of men it would have been a much better world. Western world is much better because women are more participating, Yes men created the wars so they deserved to be the front line victims. Women stayed back and ran the factories in many cases. And they were more victims because they lost husbands and brothers and sons because MEN created those wars and were stubborn to accept compromise. Men are assaulted and murdered more because they are more involved in crimes and drugs. It is a statistical fact. Yes the thread is about Canada and we are debating why Canada is best RELATIVE t other countries and that was why I had to point to situation in other countries. Remember the fact that we are all here because of the angel gender. ps - Please debate in a mature manner and express your views politely without the use of insults like wtf. If you live in Europe (and especially in Europe like Germany and Britain and France and Eastern Europe like Russia) where gangs of skinheads physically attack people of color skin randomly and for no reason (and much worse in Middle East and Africa) then you would realize how peaceful and great Canada is and comparatively how people are living in harmony and respect. It is not perfect but it is the best. I said Canada is best country. I didn't say Canada is perfect country. We had our share of imperfection (Harper regime).

You seem to be indicating that men have less rights in Canada? if true maybe it is about time as for centuries women have been second class citizens with less rights and victims (of violence, unequal rights) and still in many countries are still s as we speak. Women need more protection (the homeless for example) because they are generally speaking physically weaker and more vulnerable to become victims of violence.Btw there has been a lot more research on some diseases such as heart attack for men than women you failed to mention. Your posts indicates your total lack f awareness as how badly women are treated in some other countries (in 80% of population) otherwise you wouldn't be saying what you say above.

Canada is the country where color, race, religion, orientation does not matter and people are respected and judged based on the size of their hearts and minds rather than the size of their wallet or race or color. Where people of various races have came and prospered and live in peace and harmony together. This is a country where Women are treated with respect and have equal rights and where is the land of freedom and democratic values, These are what make Canada the best country in the world not the GDP. Canada is a country where tens of millions of people have it as their ultimate goal/dream to come and live and become a citizen. So lets appreciate what we have already and not take it for granted.

Read the title before you quote it and comment. The topic is not about what a woman chooses to wear in Canada but rather whether those women who are covering their faces (overseas) should be allowed to enter in Canada which clearly means they are not yet in Canada if ever and that is what we debated. Women in Canada if it is their own choice rather than cultural or family pressure are free to wear what they wish of course nobody is arguing against or debating that. I said this in my previous posts that if we ban this choice as long as it is a free choice then we are as bad as those who impose cover.

And who are you? I suppose you speak for them? Yes this is Canada but those with hearts who care don't just close their eyes to atrocities and oppression all over the world. This includes violations of human rights and women's rights. You as a female should be more concerned and sensitive about your own gender than I am but you obviously are not. You ignore that hundreds of millions of women are being oppressed as we speak or refused equal rights or equal opportunities or education or work or even driving like in Arabia or forced to cover their faces and yes I don't speak for them but unlike you I don't try to cover up their sufferings and I try to attract the attention to their sufferings and then you would say it is none of my business!!!!.

Lets recognize the fact that we live in the best country in the world for which tens of millions are dreaming to live in and appreciate our democratic system and freedom and not take it for granted and the majority good hearted citizens who make this country the greatest in the world.

Because they represent symbol of oppression of women. Many women in Middle east are forced to wear hijab like in Iran or cover their face like in Saudi A. and Afghanistan. If they don't comply fully they will be attacked, beaten or arrested and possibly assaulted. Those here still wearing a hijab or niqab are either supportive of the oppression (are likely among those who back home would be enforcing the forced niqab or hijab) or forced by their family or culture to cover in latter case they represent a symbol of oppression of their sisters. You ask a women in Iran how she feels about wearing hijab!!! and why she is terrified by it. Likely same reason that a torture victim is terrified of torture devices.

None of the hundreds of thousand of refugees admitted past couple of decades passed any of those. Our health system is overloaded with all these most requiring medical attentions not to mention our education system. As for our immigration I think that adaptability should be added to it as an important factor. Not any point to bring highly educated individuals who hate our culture of freedom and democracy or those who wish to impose theirs.

This important point to consider is that CANADIAN IMMIGRATION MUST BE FAIR AND BALANCE (about 100,000) and PROPORTIONAL. As an example this planets Muslim population is only one out of 6 billion. Therefore the total proportion of Muslim immigrants to Canada MUST NOT exceed 17% of total immigrants. Does Canada observe this proportion. If not then Canadian immigration is flawed. Another points immigrants MUST be SELECTED based on merits like education and/or wealth and ADAPTABILITY to their new home and the what they will contribute in their lifetime to Canada (paying taxes, creating jobs, educating people.....). The purpose is for immigrants to better Canada not Canada better them. If this is not so then again Canadian immigration policy is flawed.

She is not foreign if she is a citizen. She is a taxpayer and a citizen with equal rights. Why you address her as foreign. Is that because she is not born here or is that because she is a Muslim? In any case I am against any laws which would limit free speech as long as it doesn't incite hate and violence. I will continue to say that I will not accept Sharia law in Canada in any form or shape.

I don't have any statistics as what percentage but there are definitely many Muslims I have come across in the west or read about who live in more progressive Muslim countries (like in Iran, Turkey, Morocco, Indonesia ......) who do not want Sharia to govern them.

I am all for free speech but there is always a limited to any free speech and that is as long as it doesn't harm the society and individuals. I think speaking negatively about something in a debate and in civilized manner should be allowed in a free society and should not be banned or we will be moving towards a dictatorship. Inciting to hatred and violence should be banned though in any democracy. I think we are taking the political correctness too far.

I believe Assad has used chemical weapons on his own people before. Some regimes like this regime would stop short of nothing to preserve their murderous regime in power even if they have to kill half or even all of their people. Bastards.

Even Iranians (post Arab invasion) have not been more violent than some Europeans countries or Americans who claim to be non-violent or civilized. Examples are many but I pick a few. They have been far less violent than Nazi Germany, Serbia and Americans (in Vietnam) and Russians (in Afghanistan).

My post was a response to author I quoted who claimed the diversity of Asian Canadians and Black Canadians and Sikh Canadians are dividing us my response was that it is racists and racism and bigotry is what is dividing us not diversity.

Yes it is people like you who is dividing us otherwise regardless of race, religion, national origin, language and orientation a good majority of us are united in our love and care for Canada.
