We need to have a PRIVATE health care system as well as existing public health care which is so sick. That way high incomers will PAY for the care they receive (or a portion of it) and our public health care will be freed up for the needy and lower incomers. Socialism has failed. Stop thinking that way, Our sick health care system is a proof of that failure. When these damn politicians start listening to the logic and find the balls to do what is right rather than what politically appears correct?.

These sad events happen all the time and mostly it is your Caucasian men who shoot their wives or girlfriend and not just that but their entire family too when the wife or girlfriend leaves them or disobeys them. The problem is you only see it and report it when a Muslim is involved.

Some of the issues you are pointing out make sense but none explain why you still wish immigrants as long as you select based on race and skin color (based on your previous posts). White immigrants don't cause all these issues. Only pigmentation does?

Don't wake up to what exactly? Stop immigration? or reduce immigration levels? or select based on race and skin color and religion? Need clarifications. Canada is doing great. It is prosperous, growing economy, safe and secure, best country in the world (travel around the world and you will see what I mean) and that is because of our immigrants not in spite of it. We just need to be more selective on who we are admitting to keep it the way it is.

Though you acknowledged that our health system is overloaded but did not recognized the burden some new immigrants place on our employment and other systems like education (visit Toronto schools, it is overcrowded with new arrivals) and transportation (try to drive in major Canadian cities over-populated) or housing (many Canadian borns are in the waiting list for affordable housing) and other systems and health care. Very disappointed to see how narrow minded you are in addition to the fact that if someone has a Ph.D. then automatically he should be a better debater than others. and then concluding that our education system is not good enough because my political views or debate skills is not to your agreement or top notch!!!!!!! so then we are right to import some Chinese with Ph.Ds who can hardly speak English and to put those born here out of work. One may be good at mathematics or physics but not knowing much about social sciences or politics. I think YOU are in the state of denial. You live in a fictitious world. You (we for sure) see it on the day to day of our lives. I am not anti-immigrant. I am an immigrant myself since my teenage years. I got my doctoral degree and a great job 15 years ago except that I was replaced by a recent immigrant from China who worked like a donkey (part of their culture) as oppose to us who have rights and obligations at any workplace he stayed overnight and worked 7 days. Then I had to compete with 50 to 100 other applicants (all having Ph.Ds and most recent immigrants) for every job. I was a lucky one to find a job after a short while but the reality is that many immigrants Ph.Ds are driving taxis with degrees in engineering and mediical sciences and we still import more. Even jobs with less education and no education there are more people out of work than jobs so why we need unskilled workers (or Ph.D's even) when we don't have enough jobs ourselves. I do not need complex economic models to tell me the reality (unless like you I wish to live in a fictitious world) as I am (was) a living example of that. We have too many immigrants. They are a burden on our employment (unemployed and working people as well) and a huge burden on our health system. The best is to stop immigration until we can sort out our own problems but that is an extreme so the moderate view would be to cut it in half as a compromise. My point on adoptability is very valid and clear. Take a trip to Europe and see it for yourself. Huge racial problems. Clashes between various races. Attacks on South West Asian businesses and on blacks and jews and Arabs. No one is secure as these people also fight back. Rumors of Caucasian girls being targeted by these individuals as revenge attacks. The new years party of 2 years ago is a good example. Germany let some Syrian refugees in without selecting them. See what happened? This is part of their culture in that region. We do not want them here. We do not want all this so we have to be SELECTIVE as who is coming here. We do not wish the bearded fanatic whose view is no respect for women and is against pre-marital sex and alcohol and bars and fun and have no respect for other cultures and religions. They can stay where they are. We do not wish to gradually turn this country into a dictatorship as after a few decades they may become a majority. In fact they may be a minority and still impose their laws upon us. We should select the good and educated who are adopted already and have respect (I am against regional selectivity) but leave the garbage where there are and pick the flowers and bring them over to flourish and contributes positively.

I think that immigration level of 300,000 is just too much for a country of 30 million. With so many people out of work and shortage of housing and overloaded healthcare system we really don't need to import so many every year. I would say about 150,000 is the right balance but even that level has to be SELECTED among the best qualified best of tough merit system on which ADOPTABILITY and cultural COMPATIBILITY plays a major role and of course education and capital or potential for contributions should play a role too. No more unhealthy uneducated illegals and refugees and no more of those who wish to come here and live diffrently or impose their own way or try to change ours or have no respect for women or other religions. I am basiclly saying what Taxme is saying except that everyone should be considered for entry regardless of race and religion and national origin but we must select them based on above merits.

I have made my point many times and that Canada immigration must be based on SELECTIVITY (must not allow criminals, fanatics, illegals, hooligans but selected individuals based on tough merit system and no refugees) NOT race, or religion r national origin or regions.

I did my high school/college in England and witnessed British Hooligans (Soccer fans) clashing on streets setting fire to cars attacking bystanders, Skin heads attacking innocent people for skin color only and robbing others (Caucasians included), drunken youth fighting outside the pops, and I was in college residence for one years where about 1000 people lived and in a year I was there not one but two student girls raped and one badly injured. Since you said in your post that we should have immigrants from Britain and Australia then I was reminded of the kind of people you advocate us to bring in.

Yes lets import drunkenness, hooliganism, bigotry, sexual assault, prostitution, .............. Yeah we don't have them enough already. Multiculturalism is great if we select our immigrants. Downtowm Mntreal is great (and Toronto) when one walks and sees so many different faces from latins to orientals to arabs and middle eastern and African as well as Caucasians. The variety of restaurents clubs, food and choice of friends (in dance bars). It is absolutely great. My problem is when there are so may Eastern Europeans and progressive people in Asia and Middle East lining up to come here and contribute and we bring in head to toe covered or long bearded fanatics not compatible with our way of life.

The problem is not race but culture. There are many (We have those people right here too. Yes Canadian born and Caucasian as well but percentage-wise much higher in areas you mentioned) who do not respect women (and people in general) do not believe in democratic values this country stands for and do not believe in equality of people and respect for other cultures and think of their own to be the only right one (funny but true) and even try to impose theirs. There should be no place for them in Canada. We have enough of this A-holes born and raise here already we don't need to import more. Therefore SELECTIVITY based on cultural values and compatibility of culture which include all those (respect for women, minorities, the law, religious and racial diversity, democratic values, equality....) must be essential component of our immigration policy and it is not so as we speak. We have to adopt this policy ASAP or we will become as bad as Europe is now in a decade or two when it would be too late.

Hostile to what culture exactly? Who defines YOUR culture which stands as a gauge on which we ban immigrants who are hostile to it? Very disappointed to see only 63% have voted No. I am hoping that this forum does not represent Canada and Canadians but likely a number of people have join the forum to hide behind their computer and a fake name in order to specifically express hate and incite it too. So if a man in the neighborhood or a city or country sexually assaults someone then will 37% also vote that all men in the neighborhood or a city or country be mutilated or castrated? Or if a murder occurs then all locals put in jail for life? I womder if the 23% voted yes becaise the punishment was for Muslims or they would have voted same for above cases too. I doubt that. You focus on negative news about Muslims specifically. Incidents like what you have reported (or have been reporting) happens all the time by the other 95% of population but it is reported and magnified and exaggerated by you every time a Muslim is involved. You also make up stories like the one above that the reason she attacked the store employees was maybe the employee offered to help her and she was pissed!!!!!!!!. Did it ever crossed your mind that maybe she was harassed for wearing a hijab or intimidated for being a Muslim or felt her life in danger? Don't bloody just saying it. Be damn sure about what has been said and has happened and has not not happened before speculating as what may have been said and may have happened.. Those who choose to come to Canada must accept the Canadian culture and way of life and those who refuse or try to change it can go the hell back to the desert hell they come from. You mean the murder of millions in exile in Siberia or you mean occupation of half of Europe and imposition of communist distatorships and murder of millions of people there or invasions of Hungry and Czechoslovakia or the occupation and muder of many thousands in Afghanistan including dropping toy bombs to target and murder children

When I was a child/teenager my slogan was "Down with Soviet Union" and my curse worked and now I am chanting "Down with Russia". US has committed plenty of crimes all over the world not limited to Vietnam and Middle East and plenty of people know it and talk about it but few talk about all the crimes Russians have committed in the past (even against their own people) and are still committng as we speak.

Israel is a friend of rich Western politicians and lobbyists but no friend of Western nations. They dragged in Western countries into wars with their enemies to eliminate them (They succeeded in Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya but failed in Iran because the latter was capable of defending itself, but still trying) and guess what?. It is not the son and daughter of those politicians who gets killed but rather the son and daughter of the average citizens (Americans, Canadians, British) who gets killed not to mention the enormous cost which again it is the average western citizen who pays the bills.
