It is with my deepest sadness that I have to post this sad news that Maryam has passed away and has descended to heaven with other angels. Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman to receive the prestigious Fields Medal for mathematics, has died in the US. The 40-year-old Iranian, a professor at Stanford University, had breast cancer which had spread to her bones. Last century it was Europe (damn German Nazis) and South East Asia (Damn Japanese Fascists) in devastation (WWI, WWII), and this century it is Middle East (Lebanon. I don't comment about a subject I know very little about (religions) but it is very clear from your post that once again you are generalizing all people in a certain group and spreading hate against that group. You spread lies or grossly exaggerate facts in order to encourage hate. While it is true that some Syrian refugees assaulted women in Europe in last New Year's Eve celebrations but, they do not represent all of Arabs or Muslims. There are also many (a big majority) who do not engage in assaults on women or bombings or shootings and try to start a life for themselves and their children in Europe, Those who do engage in rape and assaults must be severely punished (must be sent back home to be executed according to their own laws as western laws is not harsh enough for rape). The executions you refer to are mostly according to their own laws ( for rape, murder, drug trafficking...). I for one am very supportive of the return of Capital Punishment in Canada for those who commit rape and in general for violent acts against defenseless women and children. You are claiming that all Muslims are engaged in rape and bombing and shooting (you cannot say same lie for Muslims in Canada because readers know it is a lie) and that is a BIG lie. Most of them are not and wish to live in peace and live a life just like the people in the west do. The real danger to the world is you and your kind.

The Arab society has always been dysfunction. West has nothing to do with it. 1500 years ago when they lived in the desert of Arabia and burying their daughters there was no West. 1400 years ago when they became powerful, they invaded their neighbors and setting libraries on fire and badly treating captured territories there was no West. To respond to OP. Radicalism can be best defeated by education rather than war and hate mongering. Supporting the democratic elements and the elite within that society rather than the radicals so that they can take the control. Push for human rights and women's right as well as the rights of minorities in those countries and threaten them with political and economic sanctions if they refuse. To cut off ties with radical murderous regimes rather than negotiating with them. Radicalism cannot grow and will die where there is good social education, prosperity, justice and educated people form the majority who oppose radicalism. It may not happen overnight but it WILL happen.

It appears the latest measure has worked for Toronto as prices now coming down from insane prices back in April. Down from almost a million to under 800K but still over 6% higher than June 2016. As they say better late than never. Bank f Canada appears poised to raise interest rates too as per strong economy though there is no sign of inflation s I don't see it an urgent matter at this time. Another report says that only 5% of buyers in Toronto region have been foreign buyers since statistics started in April. So likely many pulled out of market.

The Iraqis invaded Kuwait in 1991 and annexed the independent country as theirs. The US of A Liberated the occupied country by invading the occupied Kuwait where Iraqis considered their own and kicked out the invading Iraqi forces in what was called operation desert storm. Americans made the mistake by not pursuing the war into Baghdad then. So in that regard it may not be considered as invasion of Iraq. But Iraqis were kicked out of their annexed territory.
