That's the work we expect them to be doing. We also expect them to protect freedom of speech (not harass, pepper spray, 'kettle', beat up, arrest, collectively punish peaceful protesters). And we expect them to report to SIU any officers using excessive force on anybody, instead of standing silent, falsifying reports, or otherwise protecting 'bad apple' violent cops. Yes, most cops do their jobs well. Unfortunately, when they don't police their own ranks, the whole force loses credibility, public confidence and respect, putting ALL officers in danger. Some officers do it right. Some don't. And a few rotten apples DO spoil the whole barrel.

Yes it looks like it's going beyond comedy now, to real substance. If Trump tries to get rid of Mueller, he really exposes himself. Either way, the shadow of this investigation will really interfere with his credibility and ability to get anything done. Maybe he'll resign to avoid his business and tax affairs being scrutinized.

Sharia law isn't an issue in Canada. One is free to criticize any religion, though not to incite hatred or advocate violence against people because of their religion.

We don't have much of an "extremist jihadi" problem in Canada. But we do have a serious problem with Islamophobic hate crimes and attacks.
