  1. Look I get it. You are an advocate of the Chinese People's Republic's foreign policy. Go In Canada we hug people that do not want to be Canadian and encourage them to retain other identities and remain conflicted as to their loyalties. Hi Rue. Three things. First off, your comments are getting to long for me to reply to in this format/forum. Your going to have to break them down into separate comments please, thank you. The second thing is that I am not an advocate for anyone. This is an issue that many here in the west are not very familiar and I feel it is a good interest we examine other approaches to how a large Canada like size country deals with different sections/areas/populations that have a distinction in relation to how Canada approaches its own internal issues of distinction. And the last sentence of yours I highlighted, what does it have to do with this thread? Your rambling buddy. WWWTT
  2. I guess the Colorado marijuana laws make Colorado an independent country according to your reasoning then. WWWTT
  3. Not sure if you looked at a calendar lately? But the year is 2014! Where have you been for the last 5 years Rumpelstiltskin? WWWTT
  4. Bingo! Harper didn't realize that consumers were already use to paying a set price for goods and services. Just shows how little the conservatives actually know about consumer spending. WWWTT
  5. Proven false statements here! Corporations are sitting on record high revenues that they refuse to re enter into the economy. Secondly, consumer spending can not always be the solution to recover the economy when consumers are carrying record high debt loads. Corporate tax cuts have hurt the economy too long. Also, the private sector has no interest in the "free market" See any temporary foreign worker program thread! WWWTT
  6. Actually there is a lot in the Mandarin language that does not translate into English. There are characteristics that are unique to China. 157 countries in the world recognize that the capital of China is in Beijing, and that Taiwan IS a PART of China. Now what part do you not understand, when 157 countries, including the USA have made this clear? WWWTT
  7. Relative in time. Like I mentioned before about Hong Kong and Macau. Macau was a Portuguese colony for centuries. Still reverted back to China. Same thing with Taiwan. WWWTT
  8. And here's the US sending some of it's observers to oversee those so called "independent democratic" elections! http://ca.images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0LEVjPemVtTK2kARJYXFwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTBsa3ZzMnBvBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--?p=us+drone+strikes&back=http%3A%2F%2Fca.yhs4.search.yahoo.com%2Fyhs%2Fsearch%3Fei%3DUTF-8%26p%3Dpictures%2Bof%2BUS%2Bdrone%2Bstrikes%26type%3Ddnldstr1202%26param1%3DyhsBeacon%26param2%3Dcd%253D2XzuyEtN2Y1L1QzuyByEzzyCyB0AtB0BzzyB0B0EzztD0A0DtN0D0Tzu0SyBtCtCtN1L2XzutBtFtBtFtCyEtFtCtAyBzytN1L1CzutCyD1B1P1R%2526cr%253D1070510881%2526ir%253D15sec%2526elng%253Den%2526elcl%253D%2526a%253Ddnldstr1202%2526f%253D4%2526cat%253Dweb%2526sid%253Dbbc1e0d4fe966d1e5a98c164f284aa48%2526cnc%253Dironsource_tb_intl_search%2526sesid%253D%2526abg%253D%2526ipblock%253D0%2526csr%253D0%2526p%253Dmysearchdial%26hsimp%3Dyhs-fullyhosted_003%26hspart%3Dironsource&w=595&h=335&imgurl=blog.projectionpoint.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2011%2F08%2Fdrone.jpg&size=41KB&name=drone.jpg&rcurl=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.projectionpoint.com%2F%3Fp%3D158&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.projectionpoint.com%2F%3Fp%3D158&type=&no=4&tt=110&oid=15dea98f52be9c94eda6bd98c44f1548&tit=...+whether+us+drone+strikes+in+pakistan+help+or+hinder+the+war+on+terror&sigr=116gq4kis&sigi=11t0j92d1&sign=1093p59vf&sigt=103raln70&sigb=1g2cplc51&fr=yhs-ironsource-fullyhosted_003&hspart=ironsource&hsimp=yhs-fullyhosted_003 WWWTT
  9. No sorry but your are looking at this from a perspective that is eager for conflict and war. Whereas the Chinese model is in an attempt to lesson tensions and re integrate the lessor province. It's too bad that the two Koreas can't share the same model. WWWTT
  10. Lots of distinct culture in China. There's like 1.4 billion people there It is official US policy to see Taiwan merge with the Mainland, and also the current government in Taiwan wants closer relations. Here's a good link with a wide perspective. http://video.wucftv.org/video/2365071469/ If you have time, watch it to the end and hopefully your perspective may change. (I hope more that the link doesn't go 403 on me!) WWWTT
  11. No relatively. WWWTT
  12. Oh ya that's right! When I last looked, Thomas was still the leader of the opposition and Justin was the leader of the 3rd place party! But somehow you believe that the "orange Crush" was "crushed" by mid term polls with a lame lack luster always looking in the mirror practising "pouty face" poses born into privilege Canadian idol don't know about Yukon territory politics high paid charity for no one but himself lets smoke a dooby "I'm not volunteering unless I'm Paid" leader of the liberal party???????? You got to be freekin joking buddy?!?!?!?!? That guy must scare the hell of the entire liberal caucus every time he opens his mouth when there is a microphone in front of him! No wonder your breathing into a paper bag debating style has hit an all time high pitch frenzy. Good luck in staying creative with coming up for excuses as to why the liberals are slipping in the polls over the next few months! WWWTT
  13. I think the US are suckers for train wreck politicians. Explains why Rob Ford is a smash hit in the US! I'm sure Hillary will make a run, kind of soon to be guessing who the running mate will be. Why not just start guessing who she would pick for different secretaries? WWWTT
  14. Definitely not the end of the conservatives wasting tax payer money to play up to their base. The supreme court didn't say anything that anyone with a basic understanding of our system was fully aware of? But hey these are conservatives we're talking about, don't expect them to have a good grasp of our system and really care about your tax dollars! WWWTT
  15. Sure Hillary is going to make a run for it, and why not? She is among the entitled political elite with a strong network for garnishing political contributions! I just hope at some point in time the US public realizes that she is just another step in the wrong direction! WWWTT
  16. Hong Kong and Macau will also politically rejoin with the mainland. Without doing any research, from what I remember, it will be like 30-50 years or something like that (but that could be from 1999,1997, not 2014). But I believe that there is a timetable for full integration. Also the mainland does have a timetable for political reforms, which will make the integration transition more easy. Same as with Taiwan, as political evolution transforms the mainland and Taiwan, and as their economy and RMB become more attractive(PRC), Taiwan will more aggressively seek political and full integration. Let me ask you this, does the Harper conservative government reflect the political reality in Quebec? Or how about yourself? There is absolutely no question that Taiwan is part of China. Here's a link I found supporting my position. http://ri.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEVjGSUFpTbEQAJXoXFwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTByZHI5MXByBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDNgRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--/RV=2/RE=1398456594/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.nytimes.com%2f2014%2f02%2f18%2fopinion%2ftaiwan-and-china-edge-ever-closer.html/RK=0/RS=PJ5EFn9__OAK6DtSJhKcww9sq8g- WWWTT
  17. How many countries recognize this? WWWTT
  18. Ya, consistent on insisting you are confident I thought there wasn't a slump in the NDP numbers in Quebec, never said that though did I? But keep hammering away on what you "insist" was what I believed! Piss poor debating tactic as far as I'm concerned! WWWTT
  19. Ya that's a quality that I'm looking for in a leader, how some other people perceive him Thanks for giving us way too much info here, did you have a cigarette after writing the comment? WWWTT
  20. Forget that guy Shady, he's just full of bitterness. But you make a good point here in how polls are useful! They can show trends, but they definitely don't predict the future! Lets say there's a hockey team, say the Leafs (LOL). If they suck all year and if they make the playoffs, will they win the cup? How about next year? Will they win the cup next year based on this years performance? Now maybe that's not the best cross analogy, but there is a couple strong similarities/parallels. I still believe in the importance of polls! I also believe all political parties put great investment in them and follow very closely! WWWTT
  21. Was I???? That's news to me! So what am I thinking right now waldo? Keep changing your story around a few words each comment waldo, you're getting there! Good luck! WWWTT
  22. Here's a comment from one of the links: The Prime Minister’s Office refused to say whether Stephen or Laureen Harper was present during the party. There was nothing in Mr. Harper’s official itinerary that showed him to be out of town over the weekend. Now I'd like to know is Steven or Laureen Harper were actually present. As far as I'm concerned, unless they come out and so no, then I will assume that they were at their son's birthday party! WWWTT
  23. Sorry I contributed to the drifting of this thread. I thought this thread was about the Laureen Harper cat charity that was protested? And the reporting of it. Not the drinking or EMS going to 24 Sussex. Somehow I got them mixed up while replying to a notification. WWWTT
