Actually the rules of the road are made around cars and do not necessarily apply to bicicyles. Bikers have superior visibility,acceleration is much slower and they have greater manuverability. Personally I treat any pedestrian or cicylist like an unpredictable child walking beside the road and give them a wide berth.And when I'm the cicylist I am cautious and very aware. WWWTT

I can comment on this thread so here goes. Great move on the governments part there. TV in China is way better than Canada and the US!And it just got better! Actually TV in China now reminds me of TV here from the 70's. I freekin hate commercials. From what I remember many of the dramas on TV in China are about how chairman Mao defeated the Japenese and then the Capitalists.Actually there is a channel(or a couple) strictly about communism and chaiman Mao.something like CPAC but with lots of kicking and explosions! Aswell there is very little skin(sex),lots of punching and kicking,talent shows,sports and limited reality TV shows(aswell as news and music). Some shows have cheap acting and are corny.And these shows are the most freekin hallarious programing I have ever seen!Whenever I'm in China I always frantically search for the low budget programing!But my wife "doesn't get it" and gets tired of always interpreting the programs that she has no interest in. I am sorry but I lack sufficient knowledge to continue debating the morality of who is granted building permits in that region of the world. Perhaps you can find a website(in English) from the building department for these regions and find out what is required when submitting. Good luck with your debate. WWWTT

Hey man hold on I was replying to someone who was implying that building here without a permit would result in instant demolition of the structure in question. I am not familiar with the body that is responsible for building codes and administering by laws,conducting inspection and such in the west bank or the Palestinian state. In Canada and the US(I'm going to assume many countries around the world)building codes can be reffered to,administered/regulated/apply/excecuted/amended on all levels of government.I am not aware of how building codes work in Isreal or Palestine and the West Bank. Aswell I am not familiar with the building codes there. I know in Canda there have bein many examples were municipalities have descriminated against the construction of mosques.Citing failure to comply with minor sub-sections of local building bi-laws/code and still refusing the opportunity to build after applying for variance.There have bein proven cases because these same municipalities allowed churches with proven similar infractions of the code to be constructed after approving similar application for variance. Actually a neighbour of mine in the Kawarthas built without a permit. He got nailed with big fines. Aswell if you build something that goes against the building code(such as being to close to a property line or the structure is too large)then you can apply for exception and make notice to your neighbours,etc,etc. In other words the bulldozer(demolition) is the last option. Not entirely true. China has bein going through this now for like 34 years! As far as I know thats a record!No other nation on this earth has had continued growth year after year for so long.The closest to a resession they have had in this time frame is like 5 or 6%.All but a few of these years has bein double digit growth! From what I understand the government there actually wants to keep growth at around or capped at 7 to 8% so it can be maintained for several more decades. WWWTT

I forgot! Sometimes this forum hosts some real bad stuff. I'm not saying everything I write is a treat but there have bein some threads here that have attracted alot of ugly comments and someones got to step up to say something! I have had the pleasure of befriendin several people from the middle east(Iran,Iraq,Palestine and Lebanon) and believe me the laws there are way different from here.(and by the way none of these guys wanted to go back,only for family) Back in the mid 90's I had an Islamic girlfriend from Sudan.She use to be a hand-maiden for several princesses in the Saudi royal family,she was going back to work for them and she wanted me to convert so we can make a couple of million US$ in a few years but that was too scary for me man! Both of these sentences I find odd? The reason is because the extreamests that you are reffering to. In Europe and in the middle east,exteamists took hold of power when those countries peoples suffered from certain western countries foriegn policies.And to solve the problems created by these certain western countries you are promoting more violence? Actually France,Germany,Netherlands,British isles(northern Europe in general) made circumstance difficult in the south. Ti me it seems as though Harper is digging in and shoaring up his base. Maybe he believes the federal conservatives are in for a rough ride the next election. I wouldn't be suprised if the conservates suffer the same fate in 2015 as the liberals in 2011. WWWTT
