I spent a month in Winnipeg one weekend.

I was attempting to put a touch of humour into this. i guess I failed.

Perhaps they spoke to each other in Arabic. Can't have that, ya know. Spanish? Okay. French? Sure. German? Why not? Chinese? Of course. Japanese? Without question. Arabic? EVIL!!!

I never said it the incident with the two Muslim gents had anything to do with the US government. It has to do with bold, outright bigotry on the part of some Americans. Personally, I don't give a shit about who can or cannot be a memnber of the royal family. I am all for Canada divesting itself of the monarchy. The bigotry there is just as bad as what happened on that airplane. However, the monarchy is not what this discussion is about. It is about bigotry, and religious bigotry at that.

Tell me what power she holds in Canada. She cannot dissolve Parliuament without the consent of Parliament. She rubber stamps laws which would pass with or without her consent anyway. She cannot declare Canada at war without the consent of Parliament. She holds NO real power. The real power is held by Parliament.

I think everyone has a better chance of getting a rupture as opposed to a rapture.

The queen is a figurehead with no real power. Political power rests with Parliament.

We have had several Catholic Prime Ministers, and NOBODY called that into question...unlike a certain president constantly being called "a Muslim".

The Liberals were against it because it was politically incorrect to say that another nation didn't have the right to send missles over our territory. I swear that if the Liberals or NDP were in power, and Canada was invaded, they would do nothing about it because "It would be politically incorrect to say they don't have the right to invade us!"

Liberal PMs packed the Senate with Liberals and New Democrats. So why is it suddenly wrong if Harper puts in Conservatives? This is why we need an ELECTED Senate, but Quebec and Ontario are dead set against it.

I think ALL religious figures should be ridiculed.

I have no problem with people enjoying hockey. I am against tax dollars used to subsidize teams and building of arenas. If the teams are so hard up for money that they want tax payers to subsidize them, then they should pay the greedy bastards that play for their teams less!

No, I mean "idiot hockey fans". They want tax breaks for the teams, bigger pay for the players, and now subsidized arenas so they can scream and yell at a bunch of grown men chasing a chunk of rubber around the ice with a bent stick. Idiocy like that transcends political views.

Why did the plane return to the gate? Because the two men were MUSLIMS. That is the ONLY reason they were put off the plane!

So, what's the problem? Oh...wait...the bleeding heart NDP and the wishy-washy oh-so-politically-correct Liberals won't like it? Who the hell cares what they do or do not like?

Mind you, some of the crap that is created and called "art" is not worthy of ANY money from anybody.

But only the rich and well to do can afford art, so by rights, the NDP should hate it. All the artwork should be sold to make money for those who want to leech off the government.

Which would you prefer? Heaven, where you will sit on a cloud for eternity, plucking a harp and "singing praises to the Lord", or Valhalla, where it is partying, boozing and womanizing every night for eternity? Me? Valhalla, thank you.
