  1. "Just the facts mam, just the facts." - Sargent Friday http://www.liberal.ca/newsroom/news-release/facts-bev-oda-tied-nots/
  2. So money it is (for you)?
  3. What money can buy?
  4. You don't get out much do you?
  5. No worries, China has the USA's back (and several other parts as well)...
  6. Let's all go buy a T-shirt from KAIROS! NEWS on the CIDA cuts available there too...
  7. Not even close my friend, not even close to a "best chance", in fact considerably a worse chance than Ignatieff, which I think this oped is designed to bring out based on the choices presented... Have no fear though, five years from now (hopefully much sooner) the leader of the Liberal Party will be a true "chip off the old block" and he will lead the Liberals back to where they belong in THE MIDDLE of the Canadian political scene... I voted "someone else" - Justin Trudeau Even smarter and a better speaker than his dad btw... (Alternate for NOW my pick would be Ken Dryden whom I supported last go round too)... The Liberals need someone FRESH and not anybody from the "old guard" or an ex NDPer, a NO BAGGAGE individual one could say...
  8. Walker gets a "Pants on Fire" (biggest LIE possible) rating on CNN's "truth meter" regarding his "not union busting" message...
  9. ABSOLUTELY! Libyan Ambassador to UN says he serves on behalf of the Libyan people and not the regime, states to reporters in New York that the Ghadaffi regime vie Ghadaffi junior #2 has declared a genocide on his own people... Libya's Justice Minister resigns in protest to the killings... Breaking news on CNN and all the News Networks happening now... To think that this is the man, Ghaddafi, that Bush said was "reformed" and was no longer a terrorist... STRIKE TWO: Bush's "take" on Putin being strike one in Bush's "character" assessments... "Ugly" may be a "flowery" word for this one...
  10. Me thinks somebody is "looosing it" big TIME (and I don't mean just the arguments)... My sig line kinda says it all about "those kind" of people, eh...
  11. I think you just made a pretty good case FOR unions! ESPECIALLY in the public sector where the need is greatest because of special training requirements that cannot easily be replaced by someone off the street... That kind of special training is VERY EXPENSIVE and I'd sure want to keep those kind of employees happy and working at peak efficiency... I wouldn't want them going to the state next door that has more to offer them than my state does... As you said, they perform ESSENTIAL SERVICES to and for the public...
  12. I see you see what I see...
  13. No worries, the writ hasn't been dropped yet and Canadians aren't "tuned in" yet so why "blow your load" now? I wouldn't... Leave that to the NDP... It'll still be there when you need it and it can make a REAL difference...
  14. Wanna buy a T-shirt from KAIROS? Will this whole issue "matter" if the writ is dropped this spring? Naaaaa! Does this whole matter fill the opposition's quivers with a whole LOT of arrows - Lying to Parliament - secretive Government - defunding NGOs in General - defunding environmental proponent groups- defunding native rights groups - defunding CHRISTIAN based groups - slapping 80% or almost 25 Million Canadians in the face - add any I missed - for a spring election? Naaaaa!
  15. Did you not notice there were 2 names there?
  16. It seems you don't even know that there was an actual and extensive study done in Manitoba on "welfare fraud and abuse of the welfare system" where going into the the study it had been assumed that abuse of the various welfare systems may be as high as a whooping 3% of recipients... only to find that only 1.2% of people on welfare "abused" the systems... They also found that much of that remaining 1.2% was due to clerical or other error within the systems or HONEST misunderstanding of the system by the so called "abuser" OR a welfare worker... That wouldn't seem to leave many people to substantiate your claims now does it? You may also want to "tell us" which welfare, Federal, Provincial, City, Native, Disability, etc., "these people" you reference are supposedly on... I've never been on welfare but I'm somewhat familiar with it through owning rental properties and knowing people who've been FORCED onto welfare through no fault of their own... In every case I know of they got off welfare as quickly as they could and NONE of them wanted to be on welfare as a way of life as you seem to think... Is there welfare abuse, sure, but the way you describe it is an absolute disproven myth...
  17. Hmmm, could be, yup, definitely could be... Harper selling out Canadian FREEDOMS to the US (like Lyin' Brian did)? Naaaaa.....
  18. You backtracking and groveling like this - PRICELESS!
  19. Yeah, but I got the other part about businesses right too... Scared to admit THAT?
  20. Naaa, never happened... Why the hell would Canada want Iraqi oil, or even "servicing them in Iraq"? Canada had enough trouble to get people to work and service Canada's oil production in Alberta... You old Canadian bashing TROLL! Couldn't pick on your own size, eh... Shame on you... Well, unless there's a draft you won't... Nice that NOW under Obama you can at least honour your "fallen heros" which your fav Prez denied you... Bad call that one... But I guess that's what happens when a Prez wants to cover up an unpopular and totally needless war like Iraq, eh... Haven't you heard? NOW it's the right calling the left "baby killers"... Where you been?
  21. That's why I'm no fan of unions in general... I see nothing wrong with REWARDING productive workers with raises and promotions that a "poor" worker doesn't get, that's what GOOD businesses do... Bottom line is there are good and bad businesses and there are good (and needed) and bad unions... It's about people every TIME... Businesses that don't look at people as people and ONLY look at the "bottom line (read greed)" are bad businesses and will "outsource" jobs in a heartbeat in MHO... Unions that only look at a wage rate and benefits (often the union exec benefits more so than it's members) instead of productivity from it's members to help a company succeed are just as bad in MHO... Oh well, that's life, that's just the way it is and I don't see it changing much anyTIME soon...
