  1. You ain’t seen nothing yet, lads. The candour level about Mr. Trump’s adventure is going to rise abruptly among his peers around the world as stagflation, rioting, disorder and the Lord knows what begin to appear. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/apr/27/us-humiliated-iran-leadership-trump-merz
  2. Unfortunately true. Trump is the fungal infection that eventually kills the sick patient. He’s not the underlying cancer.
  3. IDF volunteer and Illinois native, Daniel Raab, was once proud to brag about killing unarmed Palestinians to what he thought was a sympathetic Israeli film crew. However, since these events were made public six months ago, he and his family in America aren’t talking so loud. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Daniel+Raab&as_sitesearch=www.theguardian.com&sei=EtnvaevKJcS0hbIPv5_f2Ak&pli=1 Hamas are religious fanatics fueled by a murderous ideology. But I support them, apparently.
  4. If you start a thread like this without condemning Trump wholeheartedly then you can’t be taken seriously.
  5. Absolute garbage from you. I don’t support the terrorists of Hamas but you blindly cheer for Netanyahu and his murderers. That’s the difference. What’s going on right now in the West Bank with the willing connivance of the IDF who are often directly involved with settler violence is utterly indefensible. Well, change is coming. America is waking up to the truth.
  6. Charles will change nothing on this horrible mission he must endure. Trump simply despises liberal democracies. He’s far more comfortable with the crooks of the world.
  7. That’s a good model which is common in Europe too. By contrast, my last GP was part of a group that did not share patients and my current GP in Canada is a sole practitioner which is even worse. When he’s away the ER is the back-up plan. I’m afraid we need something more than that. A quarter of NL’s patients don’t have a GP now. If private care would improve things I would be willing to pay for it.
  8. In Gaza and the West Bank these days, the IDF often don’t even bother coming up with some sort of story about the civilians they kill: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/apr/27/israeli-attacks-gaza-clean-water-shortage-crisis-disease-palestine
  9. We are Canadian and we want to stay that way, a simple fact you and your MAGA friends in Canada can’t get their heads around. BTW I’d be paying attention to the status of your ‘world reserve’ currency if I were you.
  10. The race is about every technology and China is catching up fast.
  11. The US turned its back on Britain and France more than Israel there. All talk of Britain’s Special Relationship with the US should have ended immediately. At that time, the Israel Lobby was a minor force in US politics
  12. The difference is that America is next door which makes its threats far more serious.
  13. It’s hard to see how the Chinese won’t dominate the global transition to electric vehicles. Does America expect us to follow it back to the twentieth century?
  14. One issue in my neck of the woods is ‘orphan’ patients with non-urgent issues clogging the ER who should have GPs but don’t. Our GP shortage is now more serious than in many European countries.
  15. The countries running out of fuel and facing social chaos will blame Iran, of course, but also America. I don’t think Americans are really in touch with the rage out there and the long-term consequences for their nation’s brand.
  16. Greer has the mentality of a third world dictator. He seems to think Carney has absolute control over any decision made in Canada.
  17. Mental illness is a big subject. I wouldn’t want to see young people offered MAID but what about a 60 year old man who has suffered from psychotic illness for forty years?
  18. I have never heard US government support of any sort discussed by the American side. It needs to be talked about by the Canadian side too. I’m agnostic on supply management and would actually welcome more US involvement in our consumer telecom sector but we need to have an honest and open discussion about that and everything else the US wants. For example, we have a right to know exactly what the US does with data it already collects from digital service companies in Canada. Could my opinions here be hoovered up by a hostile US administration?
  19. Whenever Trump’s officials talk about agriculture and the need to scrap supply management here, they should be reminded that a large proportion of their own agricultural workers are undocumented. In other words, they are insisting we take more of products produced illegally by them. How on earth are we supposed to compete on a level playing field with them?
  20. Trump needs to shut up. His constant contradictory comments in person and online are causing confusion and must make negotiation much more difficult.
  21. Before Trump there was really no argument that America gets a fantastic deal with us on military, resource and fuel security and that we are a great neighbour for them. But fair is fair here. We didn’t start this ridiculous line of chat about our country where it’s like a business that will get into grave trouble if it doesn't ‘behave itself’. Trump’s threats are utterly out of line and have to be addressed. They cannot be ignored.
  22. This war of choice against Iran by Israel and the United States has already caused serious economic problems across the world. The Americans don’t seem to understand the way the world is shifting because of it. Their credibility is in peril.
  23. So what does he propose? Elbows down? Abject surrender?
  24. The best outcome would be for Russia to become a normal European country that respects international borders.
  25. The regimes of Jordan and Egypt are US puppets. Netanyahu needs constant wars. Just wait and see the rhetoric develop about Turkey next, maybe even Pakistan. Fortunately, Americans are beginning to wake up to his scams.
