GostHacked, it doesn't get any easier to blow out of the water than that post! http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=cnn+lied&qpvt=cnn+lied&FORM=VDRE And gone are the days of the really, really big whoppers when the minister of propaganda's wife, Christiane Amanpour, was spoon feeding it in their leadup to war in Iraq. That was when they didn't even make an honest attempt to hide it!

Gost, I've read volumes on it and it's just not a real issue as far as I can see. If there is something to look at there's a possibility that I could be convinced that it's real but I need to see it. My horse isn't really in that race, other than my lasting opinion that has been formed on US politics is that the teabagger party is nothing but a bunch of crazed racists that have come out of their closets down south to oppose that president with the black skin colour. I consider Benghazi to be a part of that and will until I have something concrete to work with. Would you like to take on that task of trying to convince 'any' of us?

We mostly accomplish our mission if all we do is milk that sort of bigotry out of them. -

We don't 'call out' the natives in Canada because we're not all racists who hate them. And we try to take a socially responsible on the issue, as well as many other issues. As for Kosovo, did you know that the mass graves of ethnic Albanians never did get unearthed or even found? I think the best they ever did was to find a grave of about 20 that contained bodies of mixed ethnic origin. Check that out and let us know how you do. In order to do that your heart will have to be in it! Your criticism of D'allaire is disgusting. -

There's little doubt that Harper has a personal agenda of being against free choice on abortion. Much of Justin's purpose is to force that position out of him and succeed also if he doesn't express his real agenda. Harper has to keep his party twisting and turning in the wind on the issue. But Harper also knows that a lot of groundwork needs to be done on the Canadian people before it would make sense to go anti-abortion as his voiced political position. That is, anything even remotely resembling the position of the political right in the US. Our saving grace that people are waking up to now is that in order for the political right to continue to forward their agenda, they need to be dishonest on many issues. Birth control would be one of them of course because to voice a position against birth control in Canada would be political suicide. No politician would like to get Santorum all over themselves. And another is our health care system. It's plainly obvious that the Fraser institute has had to push that old political hayburner along for so long that it's literally fallen off the tracks. No politician on the right, no matter how rabid and frothing at the mouth he/she is has ever have the nerve to express their agenda on it. -
The problem with US news and to some extent Canadian news as well is that they never have anyone telling the other side of the story. If a news announcer assembles a panel it's rare that you will see somebody expressing the other side's POV. Situations where that happens we find ourselves getting into US led wars such as the phony Iraq war which perhaps could have been avoided had the people had access to the truth. And the Iraq war is only one of many wars that the US has started for various immoral and illegal reasons. How could anyone dispute that at this late date? And consequently, regardless of the barrage of propaganda and misinformation the American people are starting to dig in their heels a bit. They are still firmly of the opinion that they don't want their military anywhere near the Ukraine meddling in their business. The results of the recent referendums in the Ukraine is going to resonate with the American people for that very reason. It's plainly evident to them now that the people don't want separation from the rest of the Ukraine, they want what Putin clearly wants. The former status quo situation where neither the West (US/Nato) is trying to advance and Russia has no interest in advancing either. Even though the American people have to do some footwork to search out the real truth of what the mainstream should be telling them as an option, along with the US/Nato propaganda. If the dead hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians were sacrificed for any reason, it would have to be that their lives were lost in order to teach us a lesson. Never again! But alas, the power of the propaganda is difficult to match by peaceloving people of the world.

Yes, I know that's the standard reply. Nothin! But I know that big bad boogeyman is there. Out with it Gost.

Thanks for your support! All Canadians need to be vocal on this issue in order to keep Harper aware that he's not going to turn Canada into another land of the gun and a country where they hate women having any rights. We're pretty safe for now with the catholics being overall pro-choice! -

Do you enjoy trying to tar all our aboriginals with the same brush? In my humble opinion Tim, it's not a very enviable position to be known to be supporting. Do you try to tar other minorities with that same brush Tim? -
http://rt.com/op-edge/158416-eastern-ukraine-referendum-expressing-will/ Just an expression of the intent of the people of the Southern and Eastern Ukraine. I wonder, could we expect something that classy from Rachel Maddow or Bill O'Reilly? LOL

It's a pleasure to talk to a person like you who has obviously been around. A real rest break from talking to precocious teenagers! -
So now you want to play the economics card eh Tim. You wouldn't do a lick better with me on that so I won't even entertain you further on this issue. Let's just hope lots of your friends on this forum read this stuff between us and notice how you have been stumbling around in circles. Get on that line drop calculation alright? That is going to be what it takes to get me to pay you more attention.

This is where you got it right! The US sticks with the UN because it provides licence at times that fulfills it's agenda. But at other times they whine and whine about the UN because it throws the monkey wrench into their war plans. Oh, and the UN has passed dozens of UNSC resolutions condemning the Zionist regime in Israel. that really irks Americans! -

monty16 replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
WRONG! At least for the Kosovo war because the UN didn't approve and the US/Nato warmongers had to rely on Nato to get to slaughter people from 30,000'. -
Gee, you really, really don't get it Tim. I can transmit power from my house with a minimal amount of equipment. And I can actually do it at 120/240 single phase and there are actually homes that do it in areas where it is permitted. Ya really think that it isn't that easy for wind and solar installations to do it? Really? And for what it's worth Tim, it goes out of a home at that low voltage and gets transformed to 13.8 k.v. on that steel box thingy up on the pole. Then it goes about 2 miles to my local sub station where they magically make it 240 k.v. Abracadabra Tim! You show us your stuff now Tim and calculate the line drop o.k? I'll check your work and grade you on it. It's a test! Tim, you've started to bark up the wrong tree this time. It's my field of expertise and I can tell right now that it certainly isn't yours.

Look bush_cheney, I'm not an American and I don't foolishly support my country when it does wrong. It's called honesty just in case you might want to try it with me. And so yes, Canada signed on to the phony war in Kosovo and Serbia and Canadian heads should roll at the Hague for that. Not to mention that we bear a lot of guilt over our treatment of our aboriginals. So I guess we're in agreement once again right? On the Kosovo war both the US and Canada and other Nato countries are guilty of waging a phony war and are guilty of murdering Serbs under their bombs. Or would you like to spin 180 on that now? -
And I'm going to try to tell 'you' that US news is not reliable or credible. Ask any American and they will tell you that. American A will tell you that Fox News is not credible and American B will tell you that MSNBC is not credible. Say it ain't so! Then there's CNN and CBS and they've become the laughing stocks of the news world for their respective lying and getting caught. Take it all with a grain of salt, even RT, but at least supply some source to say it was fixed. Or don't because the perception has been spread out there and not even the US networks are saying that the vote wasn't conclusively pro-Russia. In fact KCTS talking head US propagandists actually said that only 30% voted and the 70% who didn't were anti-Russia. Yup, they really did! That even made the announcer do a double take!
-
Sorry big guy but there were 23 countries sent observers. The news you watched lied about it. And if you didn't watch KCTS, I did and they lied too about there being no observers.
-
You're just assuming that I don't work in the electrical/instrument field so chances are you don't know more than me. And when you tried to say that power is less efficiently transmitted over great distances if it's not wind/solar, you really blew it. Power goes to the grid via a local transforming station and it's all transmitted from there at high voltage. Voltages varying from one jurisdiction to another sometimes. 138 k.v. A.C., 240 kv A.C., 500 k.v. D.C., and so on. So go ahead and tell me all about it Tim! Let's see how much more you don't know?

Don't keep hinting and keeping us in suspense. We know there's an issue to raise over Benghazi but it just hasn't been aired yet. I mean, there must be!

Yes, in the US especially there are rules that politicians make up to validate a planned war. The UN's mission is to prevent wars and so it's seen as interfering sometimes. Imagine that, not being gung-ho for a war! That's when the criticism starts. -
You don't understand how the grid works, and worse, you don't want to know. You're just opposed to wind and solar power for some illogical reason that you won't talk about. I suspect that it's rightist politics and that is the politics of greed. Didn't Milty Friedman tell us it's about greed?

Is Tipping A Broken Business Model
monty16 replied to WestCoastRunner's topic in Business and Economy
In the US the gameplan is to pay workers a couple of bucks an hour and hope that the workers get tips. And Mexico goes one step further. It relies on workers to pack bags at grocery stores for nothing and hopefully they'll get a few pesos out of it. If there's a kickback to the plan of the V.I. restaurant then it will be from greedy capitalists who feel threatened that the status quo will be interrupted. -
It's likely the teabaggers don't even know. The whole purpose of Benghazi is to demonize Obama and that's mainly because of the colour of his skin.

Challenges to the UN are extremist by their very definition. The US doesn't challenge the UN when it finds it's useful to their cause. Canada is starting to do the same.
