  1. Saudi Arabia is not attacking us, Sahib.
  2. Apparently Trump himself was not under investigation. But the media upheld the appearance that he was. The investigation was into Russian collusion that may have influenced the election. That is far less scary than it sounds, because unless the Russians directly hacked the voting machines, it was still Americans who voted, not the Russians. If I were Trump I would have done that on day 1. He deserved it for being a buffoon during the election. House be damned, if I find that anything I do as POTUS will result in it coming down on my head anyway, I may as well do whatever I want.
  3. I'm not expecting anything to come out of it. Why? Here's the dichotomy- Comey WAS the Director of the FBI. If he knows something that can get Trump indicted, why didn't he act on it when he was the Director? That was his job, what he was trying to do. He did nothing, and it's reasonable to conclude there was nothing conclusive to report. At some point you either take action or drop the investigation. Unless of course you have an agenda to keep up the appearance of one. If I was president Trump I would say, "Look, guy, you've been investigating for over 6 months now. What have you got? Nothing? Maybe it's time to move on."
  4. I get it, as it's very very simple to understand. The conclusions you draw about why I'm not jumping on the Trump train are purely your own extrapolations based on scant facts about me, and completely in line with the way you (and likely thousands of other emotional types) react by filling in the blanks the way you want it to be. But that doesn't make it true. Reality is real.
  5. Gossip, conjecture. Get back to us when there is a fact. Just one... single... fact. As for firing fruit loops, makes sense to me. He was a real riot to watch during the election. Should have been dismissed immediately when Trump took power, as he had the right to do and other presidents have done before. Trump made the mistake of letting him stay on. Bit of a soft heart, I guess.
  6. Comey is a fruitcake, evident by his own erratic behaviour. That liberals now want to embrace him to enable their agenda speaks to their desperation and hypocrisy. I predict more drama... lots of drama. But nothing else. Look dude, if they had something legit they would have come out with it already. This nonsense is being dragged out to sustain the dialog. Keep liberal tongues wagging, minds boggling.
  7. Ever been in the change room with your team after a game and have a shower? Not a lot of appreciation for being gay there.
  8. In my country, people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not by a thousand wagging tongues who know only what "might" be said. Anyone who's a proven criminal should be prosecuted, and goes for whether it's Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Not sure how it works in your reality.
  9. What do you think is serious? I haven't heard anything that is of serious concern yet re Trump, at all. Just gossip, gossip. Whatever keeps you people entertained I guess...
  10. No, I know that it's not on the agenda. Just couldn't believe anyone would make an issue out of it. Reminds me of the media criticizing the cake at the inauguration. Please bring us something important to talk about
  11. On the golf course, apparently. Russian golfers
  12. My guess is that this is just an accepted cultural attitude among Muslims or people from the Middle East/ Africa in general. That should not be surprising, because all you need to do is look back at cultural attitudes in Canada between 50 - 100 years ago. Homophobia was normal, as was prejudice/ hatred towards black folks, or anyone who is non-white non-British essentially. We only very recently made a great leap forward on these issues ourselves. There is no reason to expect otherwise from less advanced societies. Liberals tend to have "faith" in humanity, and wrongly project that all people everywhere share the same values.
  13. I'll tell you what disturbs me, it's finding out these people are going to mosques in Canada where some guy is regularly talking about killing Jews or other non-Muslims, or what have you, and they just carry on like there's nothing wrong. No one reports it to the authorities. For them it's just a normal part of the conversation.
  14. Yes, as stated "small" nuclear reactor. But if you get more than a few of these charging stations going at one time, you'll need a power reactor for sure. A megawatt is a megawatt, regardless of the voltage/current ratio. You brought the voltage down and the current up, so that you don't need to use high voltage insulation. But the power is still there. You still need to get rid of the heat, and the size of conductors in the transformer winding goes up accordingly. No matter how you slice it a 1 MW transformer cannot be made small. Power efficiency is such that if you deliver 1 MW to the load, and require 1 MW on the primary, the transformer dissipates 2 MW thermal. Actual battery swap could be done by a machine. Standardization could solve problems you mentioned about different shapes. They don't need hundreds of different models, maybe just a few. Type AA battery? No, more like type ZZZZZZ.
  15. The major heat would not be in the cable which has a fairly low voltage drop, but in the battery itself. That and a mongo sized transformer. A megawatt is approaching the power of a small nuclear reactor. A better way imo would be to have pre-charged batteries ready to go. You pull into the battery station and swap out the battery. They they put it on a trickle charger for like two years...
  16. My beer tonight. Simple, reliable, low in gas. Like me.
  17. It's the long weekend. I think some of you people really need a drink!

  18. Dirty Swedes! Look at them now. Leftists
  19. Sick. Many a cult in history worshiped demons. They were eradicated by courageous men of old, white men with strong bodies and long beards.
  20. The real threat behind M-103 is 'mission creep'
  21. The irony of this post is not lost on me.
  22. US Forces/ Trump attacked Syrian troops and Russians are pissed off. Media would rather talk about Trump's tweets.

    1. DogOnPorch

      DogOnPorch

If Russia is so darn powerful and having great influence in the US government, Trump should soon bomb his own yacht in retaliation...let's watch...

  23. I wouldn't equate conservatives with radical Islam. Just because somethings are similar in some ways doesn't make them equal. It is of course a question of degrees. Extremism is the problem. For every extreme action there's an equal and opposite extreme reaction. Where is this all going? People are getting stupider as a result, I tell you. We re doing this to ourselves, being led by emotional, reactionary types. I on the other hand have the right to dislike homosexuality, or specifically the pursuit that I MUST like it, must accept it, as repugnant as that might seem to you. There are certainly much greater sins being committed in the world than having a "bad attitude". But these days it's a very big deal to even say things. Interesting aside, some baseball player on the Blue Jays used a "homophobic slur" during the game and is now being suspended for it. I'm guessing he called the opposing teams pitcher a fag. He apologized immediately after the game, to the fans, Major League Baseball and the LGBT community. CTV News- Kevin Pillar received a 2-game suspension, "but is it enough?". Other news outlets are now posting headlines such as "Kevin Pillar needs to clearly show he regrets using a homophobic slur". Come on.
