Sometimes it doesn't come down to violence but to number of votes: "Prime Minister Robert Borden wasn't keen on the idea of women voting, but he was desperate to win the upcoming fall 1917 election and felt he needed extra votes. The election was fought solely on the issue of mandatory military service, which Borden's government had legislated months earlier. On September 20, 1917, Parliament passed the Wartime Elections Act, which removed the right to vote from Canadians born in enemy countries. But it also granted the vote to the wives, mothers and sisters of serving soldiers, as well as women serving in the armed forces. The measure became law in September 1917 On December 17th of the same year, some 500,000 Canadian women voted for the first time in the federal elections. Borden's coalition government swept to victory."

I knew as soon as I saw his first post that it was the same capn canada that got banned just the day before. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. It was no coincidence that Socialist and Lemon appeared the very next day. Funny though, how the mods don't see it. But like I say, we are doing our jobs for zero pay too.

Right. So let's compare our population with the countries mentioned above: India: 1.252 billion Bangladesh: 156.6 million Russia: 143.5 million Nigeria: 173.6 million Mexico: 122.3 million U.S.: 318.9 million Canada: 35.16 million So, when do you think we will catch up to these countries with our immigration policies? When do you think our lifestyles will resemble the above countries? Quite frankly, your post is simply fear mongering BS.

I don't want segregation. I want more female members on this forum. If we want this, we need to use google techniques to promote this forum in rankings. To do this, we need to promote sub-headings for women. I don't get why this is such an issue? It is purely a technical solution and has nothing to do with men vs women.

Do you honestly think women don't give a dam about their country and their country's policies? This is exactly why we need more women on this forum and I have no idea why Charles and company don't encourage it in anyway we can.

I can find just as many and plenty more that refute these sites. I'm not about to go down that rabbit hole. Please do not dismiss women participating in political forums. And again, if other women on this forum cannot convince the male administrators to adopt new ways of encouraging female members, it will not happen. Period!

That is just simply not true. Where do you get that from? Opinions posted here? I have seen posters express that sentiment over and over again here on this forum. Women represent 50% of the voting population, so let's try and represent them in all avenues that we can including political forums in whatever way we can. Until we can get past these men who hold the keys to the administrative rights to these forums, there is not much we can do.

Your welcome. -
Right. Read my posts above. It's about drawing in new members. I agree, we absolutely need conversations together, but until we can draw in new female members, it ain't happening.

I don't understand why we can't have a category for 'women in politics, science etc'. There is no denying we are strongly under-represented in these domains and why not do what we can to draw attention to it? Why not shine a light on this as a separate section/issue on this forum? What can it hurt? And let's see if we can get increased membership (our google rankings will be increased when we mention these keywords in our sub-headings). Quite frankly, we have the same members arguing the same issues over and over again. Let's try and introduce new feedback. And let's get the other female members on board with this suggestion. If they don't agree, then ok. I'm speaking for naught.

Not sure that I'm wrong. But it really doesn't matter. Just wanted to point out where I got information from.
