When Trudeau does release his platform I can guarantee you that it will not contain everything that he plans to do. He will most certainly implement more legislation like C-36 and C-10 that will infringe on Canadian's rights.

I think that Liberals made a big mistake calling for an unnecessary election in the middle of pandemic. People are angry blaming governments, jobless, fed up with lockdowns, loss of jobs, bad economy and frustrated at anyone in power blaming everybody for their bad lives. Liberals asked them to re-elect them with a majority like past two years has been a hell!!!!!!

Canada, as usual, admits floods of people from the wrong places. This will be our demise. It’s happening before our eyes and we pretend it’ll settle down and we’ll be a delightful “multicultural” mosaic. It won’t be. On local public transit there is virtually no English spoken. Canada will get what it deserves.

The biggest fear for young men is rejection by young women. It can be awfully discouraging to be rejected again and again, and in this era where so many people have so few friends hard to get advice, especially if you're embarrassed about your plight. So some turn inward and resentment and anger grow. They find like-minded types on the internet and as is the trend nowadays instead of blaming themselves and seeking ways to improve their odds they blame those who rejected them. This is not helped by living in a Tinder world where nothing seems to matter but looks and being glib. Mind you, those have always been a huge advantage. I think the real problem is so many are so isolated, with no membership in groups, clubs, church organizations, etc. where they can meet and interact with others in person.

Consider Canada as your house. Do you let everyone who knocks on your door in? How about the ones that don't knock and climb in through the window? "Come right in folks . . . . make yourselves comfortable, I'll make egg salad sandwiches for everyone . . . forever"

Do you know that Trudeau has yet to release his platform? While everyone had already gave their detailed plans, Trudeau has not. And yet, he was the one who called for this election! Isn't that odd? Looks more like Trudeau never had a plan! He underestimated his opponents - O'Toole in particular (for being an unknown to voters). Trudeau must've planned to just bs his way thru this election!

Some journalists have already SUBTLY floating the idea that O'Toole might be in cahoots with the protesters. O'Toole had promptly put a brake on that by strongly condemning the protest in Bolton. Lol - I wouldn't be surprised if the Bolton protesters are actually on the payroll of the Liberals.........to give Trudeau the much-needed boost by using the "victim card," of a "Trump-like mob!"

how is Justin O'Toole meaningfully better than Erin Trudeau? the Conservatives just stole the Liberals platform and said we're gonna execute it more effectively attacking the Liberals from the left they are literally campaigning on doubling down on Trudeau-style policy portraying themselves as simply more competent liberals plus if they win they are going to be rewarded for it incentivizing them to go even further down that road than they already are and yet I'm supposed to see O'Toole winning as some big upgrade on Trudeau winning as if the Conservatives are going to be so different, instead of just Blue Liberals why should I be that naive and stupid? and why should you?

Perhaps the main differences are O'Toole seems a lot less shallow, narcissistic, smug and self-serving, and he and his party are a lot less obsessed with identity politics and a lot more likely to be careful about spending us into the poor house.

You can not effect real change from sitting on the opposition side of the house. who cares what they say trying to get elected, how much of that is really true, or can it survive our reality... Justin kept very little of his promises, and he's been in office for almost 6 years now. He is beginning to see that this may not be the cake walk he thought it was... My reality is get in office first, a conservative majority would be a signal from god... really that Canada can reverse some of the rot left behind by the liberals... Nothing is over until the fat lady sings, who would have thought the conservatives even had a chance...So right now i don't care what color they seem to be wearing, go team go ...as long as Justin and his sad sack of friends has to move out ,and look for work else where.. That might even be better than the Leaf's winning the cup...And if O'Toole drops the ball he'll be replaced in 4 years...

Media is still making immoral people famous and giving them the means to wealth and power. And now new media will allow immoral people to organize. I think part of the social adjustment will be for us to ignore them if they are unreasonable. Nobody owes you love.

O'Toole has managed to grab the centrist position, I think. if a Liberal feels that way - then he's more likely to want to try a different liberal flavor this time around. ? Only a Trudeau fan will want to stick to the same bs all over again. Seeing how easily he batted and answered journalists' questions - I'm so interested to see him on debate night. Me? I don't have any false illusion that hard times aren't coming - thanks to the deficits ran by Trudeau. All I want is to have a different PM to steer us through the difficult times ahead.

If ALL Conservatives - even the ones supporting PPC (I'm glad to see them going up in the polls too), will throw their support on O'Toole at the last minute - CPC will have the majority. If you guys want to see Trudeau gone - better put your money where your mouth is. THIS IS OUR BIGGEST CHANCE! We can't deny that Trudeau has had a charismatic grip on the nation. O'Toole has seem to manage to crack that. Don't throw away this chance. It may never come again for such a long time.

Aug 26th, 11 days after the thread was opened, the Libs are already behind: I think that Afghanistan is influencing our election bigtime. Virtue-signalling was all that the leftists really had going for them, and now the left in the US is imploding as a result of disastrous leftist policies. Policing is down, violence is getting insane, the border is a debacle in every way imaginable, people won't go to work because they're sucking the covid teat dry, the homelessness and Fentanyl issues are getting worse every day, and anti-America sentiment from the squad is really unpopular now that the military is being humiliated by a bunch of wife-beaters. Leftist politicians and the dishonest MSM have been exposed as frauds for backing Biden. They've left the USA completely rudderless, and Trudeau is the exact same kind of patsy.
