Very few accolades, or medals were every given out to Canadian soldiers, in comparison to other allied units, the US, UK, Germany, etc, all have given out their highest military honors such as Medal of Honor, Victory Cross, etc, and yet no Canadian soldier has received a Victory Cross since WWII, it's not because we are poor soldiers, nobody ever gets approved... I would not paint all US units with the same brush in regards to preparations of soldiers, but a lot of Canadian soldiers passed through FT Irwin , in California for the final training phase prior to going overseas, a lot of US personal assisted in that training to make it as realistic as possible, along with Canadian pers from the last ROTO... the training was current and very up to date thanks to everyone's input.... I spent 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan, and we frequently operated along side US ground, and air forces, and would gladly go to war with any of them any day of the week, when the shit hit the fan there are only a few nations you wanted to have your back US , UK to name a few ... I prayed to the war gods on many occasions for US helo or fast air support, and i can tell you nothing calms a grunt down more than to see a pair of US Apaches working over the bad guys, or the long Brrrrrrrrrrt of an A-10 warthog....Just as many US/ UK light units were glad to see Canadians show up with LAV III and Leo tanks when things got a little sporty on the ground...

Last week in Germany, 40,000 German citizens demonstrated against the German government and their Covid 19 restrictions and pretty much said that they have had enough of those restrictions and they want to get back to their old normal life. They are fed up with restrictions that have been interfering with their rights and freedoms. They pretty much want the government to lift all restrictions and want Germany to get back to the old normal days. They have had enough of this new normal life. These restrictions have caused more damage to the Germany people and society than the virus itself could ever have done. And as far as I know the MSM in North America never covered this story at all. I wonder why? Would it maybe wake up we the people here in North America and maybe would want to do the same thing and demonstrate ourselves? Millions of job losses. Was it worth it? You tell me? The German people are fed up being told or are being forced that they must wear face masks. They want no more shutdowns or lock downs. Millions of job losses have resulted from this hoax scamdemic. No more quarantining. No more social distancing. No one during this demonstration was wearing a mask or social distancing. It was great to see real patriotism at work. It reminded me of the good old normal days. I want those days back now. I want to be able to get back to where we once were where we could pretty much go anywhere we wanted to and do anything that we wanted to without having restrictions placed on us like we are having to live with today. I want to be able to go to a football or hockey game with thousands of others w/o being forced to wear a face diaper mask or social distance. i want to be able to go to the theater, a casino, or go to some big outdoor music concert once again with thousands of non mask wearing people and no social distancing. I want my freedom back that has been taken away from me by the deep state globalist communist elite. Enough already. This communist like tyranny must end now for the sake of humanity. I don't know how much longer Canadians can take before they start to rebel if that is even possible. I cannot take this bull chit anymore especially when I know that this Covid 19 was all just a fabricated made up story. Event 201 told us all about this plandemic exercise. It's all on the internet for those who want to know more about this plandemic exercise hoax. Come on people, it's time to woke up and take on and start to ask questions and challenge our dear comrade leaders, our so called health experts, and the lying media. Canadian Forces members have a well deserved reputation for doing more with less, but Canada continues to starve them, for over 50 years. The very idea of investing more in defence and national recognition of the military as a resource/value is seen as "too American", wasted spending, warmongering, yada, yada, yada.

During SIL's Afgan workup, no trips to US (for that reason, but others). My Father spent probably 30-40% of his military career either in the US or training Canadians in Europe to use US weapons systems. Our military has always been as integrated as our economies, and as it should be.

Well, I have been out of the military for many years but I do know that Canadian infantry and armour deploys to American bases for "work ups", including mock cities out in the desert southwest. U.S. air support means a lot more than just strike missions, and Canadian Forces availed itself throughout their time there.
