  1. It keeps getting worse for him.

  2. For a guy who gets busted for lying/propagating lies here constantly you ask for a lot of citations. FYI, when you get your mail-in ballot, you can easily walk down to a pub and offer up your ballot to the highest bidder. Then you check the box of the chosen candidate as agreed, seal the envelope, and viola, you get a shiny new beer or $5. Here's the story of how to commit massive voter fraud, not just sell 1 or 2 votes: https://nypost.com/2020/08/29/political-insider-explains-voter-fraud-with-mail-in-ballots/ Acting like voter fraud through mail-in ballots is impossible or even hard is just stupidity.

  3. Democrats need no-ID mail-in voting or Trump wins. Pretty simple.

  4. I can't change the poll options dude. People have already voted. Besides, 99.24% of Canadians voted for PC, Libs, NDP, Green, Bloc or PPC, and about 5% of the 0.76% votes that went to other parties went to JWR, an independent. JWR alone got twice as many votes as your libertarian party. Should JWR have been a poll option?

  5. I'll take a crack at explaining why so many people are fascinated by sports and also why it's currently loosing relevance and seems to be in a self harm phase. We all like a Grand Narrative. We are drawn to it because it gives us meaning. For a Grand narrative to grab hold it needs Logos, Mythos and Pathos Sport, when it is at its best, is a perfect blend of Logos, Mythos and Pathos. Logos are the rules of game, the stats and the usual tactics and techniques employed. Mythos is the long narrative with the history of the sport/teams/people. The ups and downs of the careers of teams and players. Pathos is the animalistic passion. The Dionysian element. The sheer joy at scoring. Both by the audience and the players. The raw outrage, the fights, blood and guts. When we have these three in balance we get the perfect Grand Narrative that people recognize as meaningful. The problem with a lot of sports these days is there isn't enough Pathos. The temperance ladies have gotten a hold and are trying to take away the "bad behavior". There has also been a direct attack on the Logos. Rules are being changed to make sports more safe. Maybe there is less room for competitive team sports in our new brave snowflake safe societies. The post modernists don't like the Grand Narrative and nothing is more post-modern than "There is no winner, everybody gets a price".

  6. The words have already been printed by many veterans, underscoring this and other governments' lack of support for Canadian Forces. Nothing the Trump administration could ever say will ever come close to this level of Canadian neglect and impact.

  7. @OftenWrong hoping you are right, but still have doubts. Its just been confirmed that people can be reinfected with Covid, which may or may not make the virus more lethal depending on the strain, but of course we won't know based on one patient, regardless of whether he lives or dies. There are still many unknowns about long term health impacts, even with those who get mild cases, and those who get very sick, despite being young and with no pre-existing conditions. Oh, but wait - you choose to disregard those reports, preferring instead to call people names. I'll continue to exercise caution with social distancing, staying home, wearing a mask in stores and public transit (and alone in my car as I travel between stores). Though I'm starting to think a face shield a better option, since it'll protect me better than a mask and since people here don't think masking (or physical distancing apparently) is particularly important, why should I bother protecting them. You do what you like, and in a year or two, we'll probably have some definitive answers. May we both survive to know which experts were correct today.

  8. This is really ignorant on many levels. 1) Singh is a Sikh, not a Hindu. It wouldn't make any sense for Singh to be a Khalistani separatist if his religion was the majority religion in the country. 2) I live in Surrey, we probably have more Indo-Canadians per capita here than anywhere else in Canada and we do a lot of business with that community. They're just average imo. 3) Indians in Canada are primarily Sikh, Hindu, or Muslim but some are Christians here from Christian families back in India. I know a few families that are blended Skih/Hindu families but not many. Most of them here are Sikhs. I don't think that you have your finger on the pulse of Multiculturalism's issues.

  9. Racism is less of a problem now, at least in the west, than at any point in history. Same could be said for sexism and homophobia. But the media and the rest of the woke brigade act like things have never been worse. Was a breathless, front page story in the Post today, copied from the Washington Post, so you know it was big! It seems a 12 year old sent a racist message to an English football player no one in North America has ever heard of. Something along the lines of "You better not score tonight you black expletive!" Thankfully, he was promptly arrested. The media scans the world for any sign of white on black racism and then, sobbing in horror, they foist it on us all so we can all be similarly outraged.

  10. You keep doing this - exaggerating what people say to make it sound bad when it really isn't. NO ONE has denied that racism exists. And by the way, what has our race got to do with it? What has our age or gender to do with our opinions? And how do you even know what age, race or gender we are? Have you presumed something not in evidence?

  11. So you think he's race baiting to get people to vote for him? Well then you're right he wouldn't be stupid just be a disgusting piece of turd.

  12. Yes it is speculation you're right. it's a stupid thing for a federal party leader to say. This is the 2nd time he's race-baited the government, the other time was in the House of Commons not long ago where he was removed from the HOC for those remarks of calling a Bloc MP racist and refusing to apologize. You can't just blast people with baseless accusations of racism whenever you feel like it. It's slander.

  13. There is racism. But saying a non-white person would have been treated differently in the Rideau Hall incident is stupid. It's race-baiting BS. I mean, maybe he would have been, but making a truth claim that he would have been is stupid. The guy was charged with 22 offenses.

  14. Apparently Jagmeet thinks 100% of non-white criminals are shot or killed by police upon arrest?
