  1. The hits on Canada have just begun. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-06-10/canadian-dollar-hardest-hit-as-investors-respond-to-g-7-fallout Is our federal government up to the job of fixing this? And what of Doug Ford? The incoming PC government is coming in at the very precarious time with much on their plate. I wish them every success in their handling of this looming catastrophe. I have a feeling things will get very bad for us economically. Our government must put aside their partisan and self serving ways and take drastic measures, for exampls getting rid of supply management even if it means losing a few votes in Quebec.

  2. I just finished watching her concession speech. Her pupils were dilated, she was over-sweating, and her speech was erratic. She in no way looked sober. People need to call and demand that the police have her drug tested her right away. She looked like an insane person. I believe shes on illegal narcotics or heavily medicated. She is a huge liability for Ontario.

  3. Of course not. That doesn't mean we shouldn't drastically lower the number coming into the country, and make them pass a values test.

  4. Okay, but here is what happened, and France's reasons were not only spiteful (Giscard hated Pierre Trudeau...who didn't, right ?), but France considered Canada to be only an economic and political appendage of the United States...what irony, eh !? Fast forward to today...what was old is new again. The world will survive.

  5. Why don't the liberals keep to their progressive traditions, like maybe volunteer at a homeless shelter, instead of trying to pass multiple gender pronoun laws? Did you ever hear Andrea Horwath once say she had a plan for the homeless? All she did was Bash Doug ford, and threaten to hold him accountable. I would have more respect for liberals, if they actually focused on helping the marginalized, instead of force feed a bunch of identity politics down our throats. They like to talk, but where are their actions? Where is the fruits of their good ideas?

  6. Trump is a tough act to deal with but the point was made beyond just Trump - it included alienation of Japan, India, China - and Belgium was thrown in for good measure.

  7. Another indicator that Trudeau was playing to his base at home to shore up support. "Look how patriotic I am."

  8. Rona Ambrose admitted it. Supply Management is a POLITICAL "sacred cow."

  9. I'm far from racist. I'm worried that the alt-right is using minorities and especially Muslims as scapegoats. With that said the term "White Pride" is borderline hate speech and can land you in jail in some circumstances. The hypocrisy is, everyone else can use the word pride, and it's promoted by the liberal media. "Native Pride" is seen as progressive "Black Pride" is seen as liberating If you say White Pride, all of a sudden your a Neo Nazi, and you will get reported to the authorities. I think if we are going to ban the phrase "White Pride" than we can ban "Native Pride". Because pride in one culture can't be a privileged given to one group over another.

  10. It seems trudeau was nice to him and once trump left trudeau stating ripping him. To scared to take him on face to face.

  11. http://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/goldstein-green-party-leader-denies-reports-of-liberal-coalition That takes care of that. Wynne just can't catch a break. So sad....NOT.

  12. That's your opinion, Argus. Funny thing, to Trudeau.....it's all about making himself look good to his audience. Starting from the time he inappropriately took part in taking pot shots at Trump during the primary race - and several times more deliberately timed to show him in contrast with Trump (refugee policy - which we're now paying for, his diversity speech in NY - which we know is a lie, at a crucial time of negotiations with NAFTA). He was making himself look good at the expense of Trump! His coziness with outgoing Obama (passing the baton-kinda ritual they had with outgoing Biden), and preening to all the progressive socialist-leaning governments in Europe - all Obama fans - that "looked up" to Trudeau. Stephen Harper stated on a US channel: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/10/the-associated-press-trumps-tweets-slam-canada-and-trudeau-anew-from-singapore.html I've said it before - all those potshots aren't going to simply be forgotten! Trump doesn't strike me as a guy who forgets. If Trump's obsesssion with trade relations is perplexing - then it could only be................. personal! This could very well all because of Trudeau. And, his big mouth. To put it bluntly, Trudeau had made himself a sitting duck who'd stupidly put a red target on his forehead. And we're all in the crossfire!

  14. Indeed...as Justin Trudeau is far more interested in his feminist agenda, carbon taxes, climate change, etc., etc. etc....not tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade. Ontario turfed Kathleen Wynne and her "progressive" party last week...Trudeau is next (2019).

  15. Not to mention that Trump decided to get rid of NAFTA and put tariffs on Canadian products first, I am not sure what the hell they are complaining about. This seems like a logical move for Trudeau to only throw down the same rules. It seems that Trudeau was wanting to avoid it overall, but screw it. We also have to take care of our own. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/white-house-adviser-kudlow-trump-trudeau-g7-summit-blame-1.4700061 Trump already looks weak because of how he has carried out his term so far. But all those other leaders can all piss up a rope because only after Trudeau imposed the same thing that Trump did first, other leaders look at him as weak. That's a strong move in my opinion. And I guess Trudeau might be tired of being pushed around himself. I'd tell Trump to go pound sand too!

  16. As awful as Wynne has been for Ontario over the years, I have to admit that Andrea Horwath would have been even worse for us.Now that Doug Ford has won, just sit back and watch how the left-leaning media will really go into attack mode.

  17. In fact there was an issue that was of major importance, that would be the issue of continued out of control spending and debt accumulation. As for unity, what nonsense, Trudeau has made it perfectly clear that all we need is diversity. We don't need no stinkin' unity!

  18. And, if he does a good job at it........the federal Liberals will be in big trouble in the coming election. According to Nick Nanos, just the word "Liberal" makes people see red.....no pun intended.

  19. Bill Blair says storefronts and the Black Market will be almost eliminated if the legal solution offers a good price point, accessibility, and variety. Will governments be able to constrain themselves on taxing the product so that the price-point is at least competitive? We'll see. As for variety - that is the scary part. The Black Market will offer increasing levels of THC - or combine pot with other dubious ingredients. How will the government respond to these unhealthy, if not dangerous offerings? And finally, the justice system and sentencing.....currently, we have laughably weak consequences for selling an ILLEGAL substance. How can this same justice system enact TOUGHER penalties for selling a LEGAL substance? This shameless pandering for votes was a main plank of Sunny Ways. As with deficits, we'll be paying the Piper for years to come - fiscally and morally.
