The nun's habit doesn't cover their face. So what do nuns have to do with bill 62? The purpose of a nun's habit is also different. It is not a sign for a fascist ideology which denies women's fundamental rights and treats them as inferiors and rejects our western freedoms and human rights. It is hypocrisy to say one believes in equality and human rights for women, but accept this symbol in public places which means the opposite.

It's ridonkulous. And it's an argument that's been debunked over and over again. Nuns spend their days working their chosen career path. Praying, tending to religious duties, etc. Women who are required to burka-up are not devoting their days to worship. They are trying to cook meals, raise children, work a job, drive to the grocery store. I'd like to see some men here throw a comforter over their heads for a week and try to live a normal life. Are Christian women all over the world being actively/socially coerced into becoming nuns? No. Aside from being silimlar in appearance, they are completely different in their symbolism.

So, why are there still Sikh temples and Sikh parades if they all eventually assimilate? But then again why should they assimilate when they keep immigrating to Canada by the tens of thousands every year, and can still practice what they left behind? Sikhs for instance have their own TV, radio, newspapers, temples, community centers, and even some private schools that teach Sikhism. How is this assimilating? I see no assimilating here? Where do you see it? Over.
