Canuck E Stan Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 You just have three stars. To you I have three stars, to me I have five. Much like the Liberal leader Dion,I know I'm great, if only others could see how great. Charles Anthony Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Do we posters rate one another or is it Maple Leaf (Greg, Charles)?Neither. I think this new feature is disabled by default. I will let Greg confirm that himself. I do not think any "member rating other member" feature as you can find in other forums is helpful. kuzadd Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 kind of like a popularity contest? cliques abound Quote Insults are the ammunition of the unintelligent - do not use them. It is okay to criticize a policy, decision, action or comment. Such criticism is part of healthy debate. It is not okay to criticize a person's character or directly insult them, regardless of their position or actions. Derogatory terms such as "loser", "idiot", etc are not permitted unless the context clearly implies that it is not serious. Rule of thumb: Play the ball, not the person (i.e. tackle the argument, not the person making it).
Higgly Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 To you I have three stars, to me I have five. LOL. I love it. Seems, though that we've gone military. Instead of stars, we've got bars. What do you think that means ? Quote "We have seen the enemy and he is us!". Pogo (Walt Kelly).
Army Guy Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 I've always meant to ask what is the purpose of the star rating system, how is it determined. My next question is about post counter, mine has been SNAFU'd for a long time now, And while the count does not mean much, it does let me know how much time i spend here... Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.
Oleg Bach Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 The post count is important - It does not just measure the amount of time but give a view to others on how effective and dedicated you are to causing a positive change in Canada - a high post count should make you more credible. Also - if electronic posting is not accurate then it is to be disrespected - much like electronic voting must be kept accurate - I guess Army Guy wants to see a tight well run ship here - that is not to much to ask...maintainence is everything - one loose screw can lose a war.. guyser Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 The post count is important -- a high post count should make you more credible. You have virtually the same post count as Army Guy. So much for your theory. Quote
