I'll give you a link to an interview, where he says it himself, plus, if you wanna hear, how knowledgable this guy is???? http://www.gunsandbutter.net/archives.php?page=2 Listen Now.. Biowarfare and the Emergence of Police State America Interview with author and professor of international law, Dr. Francis Boyle. The history of biological warfare development and the Biological Weapons Convention; forced anthrax inoculations of the military; anthrax attacks on congress and the resultant Patriot legislation setting up a police state; FBI agent Marion "Spike" Bowman's thwarting of FBI investigations into both Zacarias Moussaoui and the anthrax attacks on congress; the DNC's prevention of impeachment proceedings against Bush and others in his administration for high crimes and misdemeanors. I have relistened to this interview numerous times, it is quite interesting. Quote Insults are the ammunition of the unintelligent - do not use them. It is okay to criticize a policy, decision, action or comment. Such criticism is part of healthy debate. It is not okay to criticize a person's character or directly insult them, regardless of their position or actions. Derogatory terms such as "loser", "idiot", etc are not permitted unless the context clearly implies that it is not serious. Rule of thumb: Play the ball, not the person (i.e. tackle the argument, not the person making it).
jester Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 The watch lists and airport securityare reaching stupid proportions. There was an interview at a British airport about how dumb things are getting. The person being interviewed said that he is searched and checked every time he flies and asked one day why? The response was that he may try and take over the plane to which he responded "I'm the pilot I'm supposed to take over the plane". Another person took hand luggage on the aircraft but on the RETURN journey was refused with exactly the same hand luggage. There is a top limit with information collecting where a point is reached and overload commences. I would say that we are very near that point now and are in fact making things more dangerous due to the massive info backlog being produced and people being made complacent in their own security. I mean how smart do you have to be to watch bags all day every day.......... Quote
stignasty Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 Cat Stevens should remain banned from US entry for life....I recall that Mr. Stevens opined that the author of "Satanic Verses" (Rushdie) deserved to die for blasphemy. Peace Train indeed! "Salman Rushdie, indeed any writer who abuses the prophet or indeed any prophet under Islamic law, the sentence for that is actually death." Cat Stevens He supported 911 and has made noises about Jihading against Jews. Why in God's name should he allowed to fly? "The latest horror to hit the U.S. looks to have been caused by people of Middle Eastern origin, bearing Muslim names. Again, shame. This fuels more hatred for a religion and a people who have nothing to do with these events. " Cat Stevens http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/c...vens203130.html A British charity has been accused by the American government of financing Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. The Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA), which is based in Birmingham and provides aid for orphanages and water wells in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, has been designated by the United States treasury as being part of a network of "terrorist" charities that have allegedly "provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to Osama bin Laden". The Telegraph has also discovered that Yusuf Islam, the singer formerly known as Cat Stevens who was refused entry to America last September because his name was on a security watch list, has previously donated thousands of pounds to the Birmingham charity. The reason for his exclusion has never been publicly revealed, but last night American officials indicated that the entertainer's funding of the ISRA was one of the reasons for him being banned. Mr Islam has always denied financing terrorism. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...2/13/ncat13.xml TORONTO - Yusuf Islam, the British singer formerly known as Cat Stevens, was the guest of honour at a Toronto fundraising dinner hosted by an organization that has since been identified by the Canadian government as a "front" for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. In a videotape of the 1998 event obtained by the National Post, Mr. Islam describes Israel as a "so-called new society" created by a "so-called religion" and urges the audience to donate to the Jerusalem Fund for Human Services to "lessen the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine and the Holy Land."http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/003377.php and this: Yes, in 1988, the singer of “Peace Train” authored an “informational pamphlet,” called “Eyewitness,” containing these peaceful words: “The Jews seem neither to respect God nor his creation. Their own holy books contain the curse of God brought upon them by their prophets on account of their disobedience to Him and mischief in the earth. We have seen the disrespect for religion displayed by those who consider themselves to be 'God's chosen people.'...There will be no justice until all the land is given back to its rightful owners... Only Islam can bring peace back to the Holy Land.” http://www.debbieschlussel.com/columns/column092204.shtml I'm sure there are more. Lies, no doubt. All lies. JerrySeinfeld Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 this is ridiculous. http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/0...error_watc.html FBI Terror Watch List 'Out of Control' June 13, 2007 8:55 AM Justin Rood Reports: "A terrorist watch list compiled by the FBI has apparently swelled to include more than half a million names. Privacy and civil liberties advocates say the list is growing uncontrollably, threatening its usefulness in the war on terror. The bureau says the number of names on its terrorist watch list is classified. A portion of the FBI's unclassified 2008 budget request posted to the Department of Justice Web site, however, refers to "the entire watch list of 509,000 names," which is utilized by its Foreign Terrorist Tracking Task Force." this is nazi germany happening all over again. This really needs to be stopped. It is only allowed to happen when good people stand back and do nothing. Shouldn't it be alot more than that? Aren't there an estimated 40,000,000 people living in the country illegally? Quote

JerrySeinfeld Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Every fruit picker and housekeeper is a jihadi now? No. If there are 20,000,000 people flouting american law and living under the radar, the watch list is only watching 2.5% of that number. I'm simply pointing out that 500,000 isn't a big number, which seems to be the point of this thread. It's a terrorist watch list. If there were half a million terrorists in the States, I'm sure you'd see a lot more things going ka-blooey. Maybe - but attempts have been foiled. Let's face it - alot of the jihadi's aren't too bright. We all think of these intricate plots, but in reality the 9-11 attackers were just a bunch of blow hard bad-tippers at a strip club on Sept. 10, 2001. And you're right: it's a "watch" list - not an "arrest" list. Quote

As of next month, animals will no longer be allowed aboard any Air Canada flights. While the airline barred pets from aircraft cabins last September, the restriction now applies to the baggage compartment as well.
