Canadienne Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Hi, I would like to post some messages in French...Is this website for all Canadians? I see Quebec as part of Canada....a French province...that's it. To me, all provinces make up Canada. We are Canada and not the U.S or another country....I speak French and would like to post in French when I can...As you know federally speaking, we are officially bilingual.... Thank you. geoffrey Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 August et Charles Anthony utilisent francais parfois. I hope posting that isn't a problem, this individual is looking for a French forum, and since we're not all the French around here, it's not really posting a competeting link. na85 Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I'm sure if you asked whenever a particularly difficult passage came along, someone (myself, for one) would be happy to translate. Quote
FTA Lawyer Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I, like moderateamerican, can read this thread and understand what is being said, but to actually compose any post of my own in comprehensible French would be trop difficile pour moi to say the least. Certainly doesn't mean those of you who do speak French should not post French threads. FTA Avocate Quote

I certainly don't have a problem with anyone posting messages in French, as it appears there are a number of you who can speak French. I've never really pushed to have a French language section of the forums due to the fact that I can't speak French. Moderation would be difficult if problems arise as I would need to have someone translate the thread. However, I'm open to giving it a shot, Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? theloniusfleabag Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Sacre Bleu! Perhaps I am paranoid, but this thread was likely started by our troll. For one, a 'french person' would likely have posted 'en francais' and judged whether or not they would like to have stayed on by the responses. Secondly, they wrote in very reasonable english.
