I saw kid in the news that is allowed to hold a KERPA (WAR DAGGER) while he attends school. Our fine SUPREME COURT OF CANADA decided this after his family wasted the courts time and money with such horseshit.

I get pulled over by an RCMP wearing a turbin. While he looked dapper and all, he didn't look like an RCMP to me. Do you think I hate SIHKS? not at all. I hate the fact that this fella isn't wearing the propper uniform..........and the disrespect it implied to myself and all Canadians.

Who are these warring factions you are referring to? Are you saying we shouldn't let any people come to Canada if they are from a country that has wars? Where do you think the majority of people originally emigrated from? Should the Natives have not let us in because we fought wars? What country are your ancestors from, have they never fought wars?

So, you don't like his turban? That's your biggest complaint? What do you care?? Wearing a turban doesn't mean he wasn't wearing the proper uniform, unless something else was missing but you didn't mention anything about that.

What do undercover RCMP officers look like to you?

I know, I know, my question is snarky but my point is that a uniform on an RCMP officer is tiny compared to the grand scheme of things. Racism and bigotry is more than skin deep.

A little bit aside, but the immigrants that we should be accepting are the ones who genuinely want to make a better life for themselves here, not just bring along their problems or intolerances that should be left behind.

Myself, I am a first generation Canadian. My father left the Netherlands in 1953 and my Mom left Belgium in the same year. Both left because their land was destroyed and laced with military ordanance from the War, and there was little hope to get ahead. When they immigrated to Canada they left their past behind. The first thing they started to do was improve their English. Now both struggle to speak Dutch (or Flemish) since they have been here so long. They both reside in an area in Canada (not so far from Kitchener) with many Dutch and German people, but there are no existing problems between the groups despite what all happened at the time in the Netherlands at the hands of the Germans.

I can't at all understand some of these Moslem youths both here and in England - born here - but feel that the problems abroad should also be fought here, by them. They should be happy to be here.

I can understand the militants from abroad - they've been brainwashed. I lived for 3.5 years in Indonesia, and its a fact that certain Islamic schools, especially near Solo and Malang, Central Java, provide free education and boarding (so the extreme poor can go there), but are basically brainwashing and breeding terrorists. All of those implicated in the Bali bombings and the Marriot bombing in Jakarta came from or had dealings with such organizations. The question is, does it happen here and/or in Britain with our own 'homegrown' Moslem terrorists?

By the way, I have no problem with certain groups retaining certain traditions at certain times... afterall, my Dad still wears wooden shoes (that I bought for him) when he is out bar-b-queing on the patio.

Not once in that article is a reference given to that forum. We can not confirm anything in that article for ourselves.

Likely because those forum names and everything having to do with thes posts are part of the up coming trial and therefore witheld. Much like all the other evidence. If they just let the names out and didn't seize any of the records then someone could just go tamper with those entries, no?

I believe that this is the same Internet forum that CSIS was monitoring and then later passed on information to the RCMP to begin a criminal investigation. The forum is now down of course and I suspect that CSIS leaked the forum archives to the Globe. Who knows.

Reading through the article, and then the many comments afterward, it's hard not to realize that the Internet has changed the way society operates - just as radio and TV did before.

Canadians should be free to state their opinions about Canada, including their strong dislike for the country. I was disturbed by the number of people who wanted to deport these women. (Some of the women were born here - where would deport them to?) Other commenters said we must stop all immigration, or immigration from Muslim countries. (Most immigrated as children of parents who have no connection to radical Islam.)

I was also bothered by the comparison of fundamentalist Christians and fundamentalist Muslims. Not the same thing at all.

Western values are worth defending and we better have a clear idea of what those values are. It should not be illegal to say something bad about Canada or Canadians. It should be illegal to get involved in physical harm to Canadians.
