CdnFox Posted June 14 Report Posted June 14 Poll: Harris, Vance Emerge as 2028 Frontrunners | Newsmax.com The poll, shared by RealClearPolitics, has Harris, the Democrat presidential nominee in 2024, leading the Democrat field with 37%. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is second with 17%, REALLY democrats? Really? I mean I get that at this point in time people are going to simply point to the person whose name they are most familiar with when asked polling questions like this. Kamala is the most recognized name and so is Vance and those two are not surprisingly ahead But for the love of god! This is a person who didn't get a single nomination her first time around and dropped out because nobody liked her, failed upwards into the nomination and got her ass handed to her by Donald Trump of all people and ran an absolutely horrible campaign focused around giggling and calling opponents Nazis and wound up with a lower approval rating than Biden who Had dementia. People not only preferred trump but they actually thought a better democratic candidate was someone who was demented I'm sure she would put up a slightly better fight this time having some time to prepare if she won the nomination but I'm also quite certain advanced would kick her ass. It is beyond pathetic that the best the democrats can come up with is Kamala Harris and their second best choice is Gavin Newsom. That's like saying our first choice is Mrs Howell and our second choice is Gilligan Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."

She had an absolutely horrible campaign, comfortably one of the worst I've ever seen in politics in either country. Sure, a fair bit of that was the fact that she had 5 minutes to prepare one but even given that it was horrible. If she's the best they've got to put forward the democrats are on their deathbed. You have to remember, they were already printing the mail in ballots with Biden on them. It takes time to reset and print the names, plus buying all that paper. Whether you like trump or not or agree with his policies or not he should have been extremely vulnerable politically if the other side was organized or had its crap together in any meaningful fashion And yet somehow they're managing to do worse than Trump. My expectation is they'll still pick up some seats in the midterms because that happens literally with every single president ever.
