@John Stone @John Johnston @LinkSoul60 @bush_cheney2004

I follow Peter Zeihan, a conservative geopolitics analyst.  He's not infallible and admits mistakes, but it doesn't stop him from opining on complex and unpredictable outcomes.

Here he talks about the implications for the next 50 (!) years.  Take with a pinch of salt but such content invites discussion not moral judgement or even assessments of accuracy.

What thoughts can we add to the facts presented, is what I find interesting.

Most of Iranian navy sunk. Most of Iranian missile stockpiles and launchers destroyed. Most of military capacity destroyed. Iran military capabilities reduced by something like 90%.

The ONLY thing Iran has left is to threaten the Strait and you clowns cheer them on and ignore everything else.

Why? Because you must hate Trump.

Interesting indeed. But he does make some rather unsubstantiated conclusions.

Even if NATO falls apart, why does that mean the US won't have military support deals with Europe or Canada?

I note that this guy is a Globalist. I find Globalism destructive to those who have built affluent societies.

Oh...and I know you weren't talking to me but...

He is a known quantity with a certain view and following...and that's fine.  His history is short on dynamic context and circumstances that thrust American power to the fore in the first place.   The Cold War is over, yet the EU wants to maintain the status quo for guns and butter spending ratio at America's expense.   That can't continue for several reasons.

Trump is not the first president to point this out, but he is the first to do something about it.   Doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results is the definition of insanity.   The next 50 years will be different by design...it is a feature, not a bug.

Every single thing Trump has touched has turned to shit. Period. What normal, critically thinking human being would support this man?

Yes...I've seen several of his videos before in my algorithm feed and he has one foot stuck in the past while predicting/lamenting the future.  But he is right about one thing...change is coming/inevitable, but we don't need YouTube videos to know that.

Globalism had its chance with both Neoliberals and Neocons at the helm in the U.S. and Europe...it has failed, causing economic, political, social, and cultural fractures.

Well, looks like 77,302,580 did in November, 2024.

Are they all "not normal" ?

Israel will make sure the Middle East stays embroiled in generational wars. Nutanyahoo saw that Trump and Hegseth were incompetent and completely unqualified to run a fruit stand let alone the American Government. The little boys playing men of powr have been played Bigly. And now everyone pays the price for their hubris.

That's the best part...Americans don't really care if you think they are not smart.   But a Canadian still hitched a ride to the Moon.

Once again, you offer nothing of substance. Just a hasty generalization that is obviously false on its face.

By keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed.  Takes away from Trump's claim of victory and keeps domestic and global pressure on him because of the cost pain it's causing.

Like other leftists, you're pretty quick to claim victory for Iran and you do it every day.

You started off calling him to chicken to end Iran's nuclear threat, then you called it illegal when he did move to end it, and then you claimed moral victories and strategic victories for Iran day after day.

Then when Trump demanded Iran agree to a ceasefire by 8, and there was a ceasefire by 8, you guys phrased it as "Trump agreed to a ceasefire" lol.

  • Leftist: "Yeah, like... the dude was standing there with his fist in my face, and demanded that I give him my wallet, but I wasn't afraid. I looked him right in the eye and said "Take my wallet, mofo!", and he agreed to it 🦾"

FYI this is only a temporary ceasefire, and Trump has already shown a level of dedication to ending the nuclear threat that you couldn't possibly have missed. It's not every day that the leader of a country is killed in a war. And then his replacement. And then his replacement, etc. And most of their generals, and other leaders, and the bulk of their military and defence systems...

Can you name another world leader killed in a war, by a foreign country, in the last 100 years?

Trump's pretty serious, and there's clearly no one in Iran that he won't kill to get his way.

Precisely what they do each time...first it was Trump would never do it..."TACO"

Then when he does, it was a grave error that will end the world even though nobody wants Iran to have nuclear weapons...including many Iranians.

The America haters are trying everything now, hoping something sticks:  25th Amendment, War Powers Act, ICC War Crimes, government shutdowns, Articles of Impeachment, and wishes/dreams for harm to the president.

Trump just keeps on going, like the Energizer Bunny...

2028 campaign slogans:

........... after Trump's tenure some would argue Biden might have been a better choice  ............. there is a difference between dementia and insane.

Some would argue that suffering both is a very bad combination.

Supposedly Biden did have those around him that would talk 'truth-to-power'.

Def not the case now ............. that is the scary part.

No one with any brains would argue that.

No one with any brains would want Hilary or Biden in charge of this type of military operation after we all saw Benghazi and Afghanistan. Shithead.
