He's not infallible and admits mistakes, but it doesn't stop him from opining on complex and unpredictable outcomes. Here he talks about the implications for the next 50 (!) years. Take with a pinch of salt but such content invites discussion not moral judgement or even assessments of accuracy. Interesting indeed. But he does make some rather unsubstantiated conclusions. Even if NATO falls apart, why does that mean the US won't have military support deals with Europe or Canada? He is a known quantity with a certain view and following...and that's fine. His history is short on dynamic context and circumstances that thrust American power to the fore in the first place. The Cold War is over, yet the EU wants to maintain the status quo for guns and butter spending ratio at America's expense. That can't continue for several reasons. Trump is not the first president to point this out, but he is the first to do something about it. Doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
