I had them deduct 15% as a forced savings thing and should have another several thou towards a PHEV in a couple months. I should stop that. All Danes pay income tax if they earn income. They believe you need to pay your share. You need to have some skin in the game. I'm amazed how many people in Canada (mostly women) don't pay any taxes and yet live off of child support and child benefit cheques from the government. I know of so many here in the Okanagan just sitting around doing nothing, filing zero income tax returns and yet receiving $4-$5k a month in cheques, which are supposed to be going to the kids but of course the kids get squat.
