Violating the law is not an "official act" when the Constitution says his duty is "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" Quote The "Take Care Clause" (Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution) mandates that the President "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed". US July 1st, 2024 Scotus ruled that presidents enjoy ABSOLUTE immunity from criminal prosecution for any actions taken within their OFFICIAL capacity as President. It was a partisan decision, 6-3 Seal Team 6 was informed and recently Carney was told by security that he should be concerned. This is a sweeping decision without doubt and of course will apply to all future administrations. No doubt it was part of the calculus deciding on the Maduro raid.
