Homophobes? None.

See, this is the problem with you leftists. You think using other people's money makes you virtuous, while you don't actually do anything yourself.

No, it's just a truth that counters the justification people like you use for supporting terrorists and rapists.

LOL that was my line kiddo  I suppose trying to repeat your betters is all someone like you can do. The only one here whos supporting rapists and terrorists is you. Fits nicely with your 'i don't like democracy' stance as well

That doesn't change the fact it's still busily engaging in dispossession, subjugation and oppression. It just means it should know better.

I will always try to be objective and in this case, I'll stand with the side that has always shown that they are demonstrably better in almost every way compared to their neighbors in Gaza and the West Bank and all the other countries in that region. More Nobel Prize winners...by a wide margin, with a dozen + laureates across chemistry, economics, PEACE and literature.( Gaza? Well they excel at constructing tunnels and building crude rockets.) Israel has more rights for their people, better education, truly more progressive, a robust, diverse economy and yes, even in terms of generosity they are far better. They have repeatedly made very generous and fair offers to the other side in the hope of achieving peace. The response? Rejection after rejection.

Back to the topic at hand.  Canada cannot afford to have programs like this one, especially while we have our own problems with increasing levels of homelessness and poverty.

I don't see the problem, I certainly don't have any issues taking money from the non-virtuous. You may think economics trump's virtue but I think the opposite.

Of course I'm doing something, I'm paying my taxes and encouraging the government to use yours for the same purpose.

Suck it up as they say buttercup.

Your problem is that you believe anybody that actually has any money is by default non-virtuous.

Even average working people in your mind are non-virtuous and should be giving up their cash to the more virtuous non-working,  especially if they're lesbians and gays apparently because .... reasons?

You're an unsuccessful person and bitterly resent anybody who's done well for themselves to the point where now you're bitterly resentful of anybody who's even earning a living.

The people paying the taxes to fund this for the most part are people who are just getting by. They barely have enough food for their families and barely keep a roof over their head.

That is the people you consider to be non-virtuous. Hard working Canadians who are just trying to get by and raise a family, completely unvirtuous in your books.

Of course some of them are Jews so probably that's why you hate them. 🙄🙄

I wouldn't really call you a mirror, although you're certainly a little shattered ;)

The author of the article CdnFox cited said the money should have gone to compensating COVID vaccine injured people. I guess they couldn't find any so it went to someone it could actually help instead.

Yes they are, and these people should be exempt from paying any taxes at all.

Nope, you're just saying that because you're such a self loathing non-virtuous asshat.

They did withdraw from Gaza way back in 2005 in case you've forgotten.

If there's any oppression in Gaza, it's coming from Hamas.

A pity that the Carney government has rewarded Hamas for their actions.

Canada should think twice about bring Gazan's to Canada since most of them like to spread their toxicity here which is detrimental to our country.

Well, if we have to pay for anyone I think it should be people who are being oppressed and persecuted. Why don't you?

Oppressors and persecutors OTOH should be given their hats and shown the door. Don't you think?

We need to take care of Canadians first, so we shouldn’t be paying people to come to this country.  Immigration used to reserved for people with certain skills and education, that could come to Canada and provide for their own life.  Leftists have turned immigration into a form of charity now.  They don’t care whether or not people coming here make the country better.  They don’t care if people coming here have the necessary skills or education to provide for themselves and contribute to the country.  It’s just a big virtue signalling mechanism now.  Well, we’ve tried things your way for over a decade now, and it’s been an unmitigated disaster.  People like you need to sit down and shut up for a while.  People like you have helped ruin the country.

Because money to pay for gov't services magically grows on trees?

Sorry kid. But if you think taxes are a bad idea, you should be voting conservative next election :)   No corruption tho, so that might be a turn off for you

once again you've said something stupid and incorrect and now you want it to be my fault that you said it.

Sorry kid. That's a simple truth and well I know you find the truth frustrating and inconvenient it doesn't stop it from being the truth

No, you are the non-virtuous. Spending other people's money doesn't make you better. It makes you worse, because you pretend to be self-righteous.

Nope, corporations mostly care about contributions to themselves and a good quarterly report.

It makes me laugh because it pisses you off. I get it that isn't very charitable but it's just a little peccadillo at worst. At least my hearts in the right place.

My sense is that people who have experienced persecution bring a perspective that contributes a lot to Canada.

They aren't being persecuted by Israel. If any of them dare to speak out against Hamas...then they will face persecution which will likely be a death sentence.

Do you have any immigrants living there with you who can see how amazing you are, that you are taking care of? People like you are a joke.

Of course it can be that way. And these people aren't persecuted. Nor do they have a right to any line in Canada.

Remember this. When the pendulum swings it tends to swing as far the other way as it did the first way. Ask America about that. Don't cry when it happens, you literally are asking for it

Your sense is wrong. And it's not your sense, it's just your ideology. You want it to be true therefore as far as you're concerned it's true even though it's completely false

For all the problems we have in the world today, why is it that the West is always expected to carry the load?

Countries that do not take 'Palestinian' refugees: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait. Some of these countries are quite wealthy, yet there seems to be no expectation for them to take these people in. I personally can't blame them for not wanting 'Palestinians' since they come with baggage.
