Israel has more rights for their people, better education, truly more progressive, a robust, diverse economy and yes, even in terms of generosity they are far better. They have repeatedly made very generous and fair offers to the other side in the hope of achieving peace. The response? Rejection after rejection.

Back to the topic at hand.  Canada cannot afford to have programs like this one, especially while we have our own problems with increasing levels of homelessness and poverty.

For all the problems we have in the world today, why is it that the West is always expected to carry the load?

Countries that do not take 'Palestinian' refugees: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait. Some of these countries are quite wealthy, yet there seems to be no expectation for them to take these people in. I personally can't blame them for not wanting 'Palestinians' since they come with baggage.
