blackbird Posted November 17, 2025 Report Posted November 17, 2025 OTTAWA — An advocate for murdered and missing Indigenous women said Monday the release of a man who killed two women in Manitoba is another outrage from a justice system that victimizes Indigenous women and girls. Melissa Robinson said she was shocked and angry when she first heard last week that Shawn Lamb had been granted statutory release. Lamb pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the 2012 deaths of two Indigenous women — Carolyn Sinclair and Lorna Blacksmith — and was sentenced to 20 years the following year. Lamb received statutory release earlier this month after serving two-thirds of his sentence. Calls for justice system reform follow release of man who killed two Indigenous women Just another example of the disaster of the Liberal justice system. Quote

Well then what does equal justice Herbie? What would be justice for the families of the lost women. You seem to feel that there should be no consequences to this kind of action. Was locking him up in the first place a mistake? I'm looking at the crime stats since the liberals took over. Got to tell you that you're catch and release concept seems to be getting a lot of people killed 1 hour ago, blackbird said: Only in Canada under the Liberals/NDP. If he was first nations he probably would have been released on time served so that he could participate in a healing circle Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."
