Does not make it the right way to do business...Running deficits seems normal today, but there is a limit, now the PBO office and even major credit rating agencies has "warned" Canada you are at the tipping point of having our credit rating down graded to just AA which would mean we would be paying a higher interest rate than we are now...When these agencies are warning our government that's a red flag... that's not the time to produce a 78 bil deficit.

Not true Chretien paid attention to the deficit and while we were paying it down it got painful for a lot of Canadians...DND suffered big time during that period...paying this deficit down would be extremely painful...

And don't think for a minute Trump would not take advantage of that...
