Blackstone LNG was approved on Dec. 30, 2024 and Mark Carney did not become PM until March 14, 2025.  This had nothing to do with the new office he created, but he is claiming credit for it now.

It's enough to fool his supporters. That's all he needs.

The approval process was streamlined.  Enough to have the hardline cons upset at this success.  That's all it takes.

It was the Liberals that created all the red tape, regulations and impediments to resource development in Canada in the first place.   Conservatives never supported that kind of thing.  The Liberals created the mess and now they are trying to clean it up.

The approval process had already taken place

And they're trying to clean it up by creating a new bureaucracy. Instead of just getting rid of the rules that are the problem and tightening up the process to be effective but simple they've added a layer of complexity by including a new government office with bureaucrats to mire it even more red tape under the pretense of getting rid of red tape

Enbridge and others have come right out and said they won't be doing business with this government and investment in Canada is going to be extremely low as a result.

Correct.

And their solution to solving the problem of too much red tape was to....  add more red tape and create a brand new bureaucracy to manage it  😆

and you're PROUD of that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

LOL, sigh. this is why we can't have nice things.
