August1991 Posted September 10, 2025 Report Posted September 10, 2025 At present, the market is high - going higher. Day traders are riding a wave. ====== Bubbles rise then collapse - panics. The Big Short? No one can predict when. I reckon that AI (artificial intelligence) is a bubble. (Note: Apple has not invested much.) Crypto is a classic ponzi scheme: there's no there there. ==== Bush Jnr was president in the midst of such. Obama first took office in the storm: like FDR. What will Trump do when the bubble collapses? Quote

August1991 Posted September 13, 2025 Author Report Posted September 13, 2025 (edited) Bush Jnr, on 11 Sep 2001, was clueless - and flew in 747 to wherever the experts told him to go. ====== Trudeau Snr, in Jun 1968, waved away the experts. Trump raised his fist at Butler, PA. Churchill showed his two fingers. Edited September 13, 2025 by August1991 Quote

Psilocybin is becoming more proven and accepted in use for mental health. Not recommended in doses to hallucinate though. Quote

Actually, RKFjr is a proponent of psilocybin for the treatment of mental health. Generally his opinion in itself would be enough to make me think the opposite is true but there is a lot of research in this field that suggests psychedelics are effective for some forms of treatment. What this has to do with a stock market bubble I'm not sure..... unless of course you're looking at stock in public companies that are in this bioscience space. Quote

So much for the financial bubble. Back to the psilocybin... Quote

SpankyMcFarland Posted October 21, 2025 Report Posted October 21, 2025 In this instance I leave my gay, vegan, climate-shilling, Soros-loving, radical, Marxist lunatic cap to one side and contend that the economic problems of the US long predate the current incumbent of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. America’s debt has been ballooning for decades and is becoming a major global issue. Every time there are big bankruptcies stateside we have to wonder, is this the moment of truth? So far, so, well, OK. However, there has been an uptick of worry in recent weeks with the failure of two auto companies. This has caught the eye of Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England: Quote The recent collapses of U.S. car parts maker First Brands and auto dealership Tricolor may be a warning of much bigger financial problems to come and the Bank of England plans a more detailed probe, Governor Andrew Bailey said on Tuesday. Bailey told lawmakers that there were parallels with the early stages of the global financial crisis and that the central bank planned to run a "stress test" with the private equity and credit industry. https://www.reuters.com/sustainability/boards-policy-regulation/bank-englands-bailey-says-first-brands-tricolor-collapses-may-be-warning-worse-2025-10-21/ Quote ‘How small we make our worlds. Gather them in, tighten them up into little castles of fear.’
