This is more plausible. However the opposite is happening with regards to desertification. Global warming is helping  stop deserts from spreading as higher CO2 concentrations allows for trees to take root and with higher atmospheric temperatures, there is also higher humidity, more rain. This climate event would have to cause some form of widespread food famine for it to be apocalyptic as the alarmist claim.

I forgot to add the "there's no such thing as man-made climate change" option to the poll, so write that in if you believe there's no such thing as man-made climate change.
