robosmith Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 Federal judge issues new nationwide block against Trump’s order seeking to end birthright citizenship Quote A federal judge agreed Thursday to issue a new nationwide block against President Donald Trump’s executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship. The ruling from US District Judge Joseph Laplante is significant because the Supreme Court last month curbed the power of lower court judges to issue nationwide injunctions, while keeping intact the ability of plaintiffs to seek a widespread block of the order through class action lawsuits, which is what happened Thursday in New Hampshire. Ruling from the bench, Laplante granted a request from immigration rights attorneys to certify a nationwide class that “will be comprised only of those deprived of citizenship” and issued a preliminary injunction indefinitely blocking Trump’s Day One order from being enforced against born and unborn babies who would be impacted by the policy. 1 Quote

Nationalist Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 A regional judge can only affect the case in particular. Not general national laws. This class action will cost tons. It'll take years. Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

Prove that the SCOTUS said NOT to do this: certify a nationwide class that “will be comprised only of those deprived of citizenship” Quote The Supreme Court recently addressed the issue of nationwide injunctions in the context of President Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship, effectively limiting their use. While the Court didn't rule on the legality of the order itself, they did restrict the ability of lower court judges to block federal policies nationwide. This means that future legal challenges to such orders may need to proceed through class action lawsuits or individual cases. Quote

herbie Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 So you think one man can change a constitutional amendment with a stroke of a pen? And insist you're a believer in the Constitution? 2 Quote
blackbird Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 It is insane to believe a man, even a President and billionaire, can unilaterally himself change the Constitution and say who is a citizen and who is not. What madness! Trump's birthright citizenship efforts blocked by judge's ruling " CONCORD, New Hampshire − A federal judge again barred President Donald Trump's administration from enforcing his executive order limiting birthright citizenship nationwide after the Supreme Court restricted the ability of judges to block his policies using nationwide injunctions. U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante in Concord, New Hampshire, made the ruling July 10 after immigrant rights advocates implored him to grant class action status to a lawsuit they filed seeking to represent any babies whose citizenship status would be threatened by implementation of Trump's directive. Laplante agreed the plaintiffs could proceed as a class, allowing him to issue a fresh judicial order blocking implementation of the Republican president's policy nationally." Quote
blackbird Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 (edited) Did you know that Satan and his demons are behind much of what is going on in the world? Yes, read the King James Bible and learn about it. Billions of people are totally deceived and under Satan's control. So expect what the Bible says to come true....wars, anarchy, and chaos. I see it even in churches today. People who are defending the corrupt, modern versions of the Bible and attacking the King James Bible because it is God's real written word. The Devil hates it and is doing everything he can to shut it down, even in churches that claim to be defenders of the truth, i.e. in English, the King James Bible. For those who don't know what I am talking about, the King James Bible is based on the Received Text or Majority Text, while modern versions are following several corrupt manuscripts. It is a case of 95 or 99% of the manuscripts supporting the KJV and 1 % behind the modern corrupt versions. Read these books online: New Age Bible Versions : G. A. That bullshit is going straight back up to the SC for clarification. Edited July 10, 2025 by Deluge Quote

The 14th needs to be clarified, and the clarification needs to read like this: Birthright citizenship is as follows: citizens beget citizens, non-citizens beget non-citizens. It's short, sweet, clear, and leaves ZERO room for America hating psychopaths to f*ck with it. 1 Quote

If that is the case, they might as well be able to change it. While the Constitution wasn't amended, neither was it upheld. That, in practicality, is a change. What Trump is doing is enforcing the amendment as he interprets it. That is what he is supposed to do per his oath of office. If the congress disagrees, they can write laws to over ride him or impeach him. If the SCOTUS disagrees, they can issue an order. Until then, his interpretation of the Constitution is the law of the land. I, for one, welcome the SCOTUS ruling. I want to see how they view the term jurisdiction. That will put this issue to bed and set goals for both sides. The clearer we can mae our understanding of the amendment, the better. Quote Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?
