In a murder trial where NCR is being used, the justice system is turned completely upside down. It is no longer a normal trial to decide if the accused is guilty of murder.

It becomes an abstract kind of debate about opinions of psychiatrists as to the accused person's state of mind when he committed the crime.  This is very subjective and depends on who has the most convincing opinion.  This is a rejection of the historic principle of being held responsible for committing murder.

You epitomize why we don't let holy men run things.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

You use the concept of holy in a kind of disparaging way which sounds like it came from the Devil.

You need to investigate the word holy and learn something about it.  The opposite of it would be unholy or evil.  Do you support evil?

I would rather have men ruling who respected the commands of God and righteousness, rather than opposing things of God or his teachings.

The countries that have ungodly or unholy rulers have not ended well.  They rule by using evil much like Hitler, Stalin, and Chairman Mao.  Those would be examples of what is unholy.

Glad you are not running things.

First I don't claim to be holy.  I am a sinner but I am saved by God's grace and try to avoid sin.

God is Holy.

You need to read the King James Bible and learn what holy or holiness means.

Jesus Christ was Holy because he is God.

If more people let Jesus Christ be their Lord and Savior perhaps the world would not be in such a mess, at least in those areas where believers live and have some influence over government.

All of the following are examples of what could be called Holy Moments in a person' life.  But one must first believe in Jesus Christ.  That is the bottom line to all these examples.  Prayer must be to God through Jesus Christ.

"

Examples of Holy Moments:

Begin each day with a short prayer of gratitude, thanking God for giving you another day of life. That’s a Holy Moment.

Offer the least enjoyable tasks of your day to God as a prayer for someone who is suffering. That’s a Holy Moment.

Control your temper, even if you are fully justified in losing it. That’s a Holy Moment.

Get honest with yourself about your self-destructive habits. That’s a Holy Moment.

Tell God you trust he has a great plan for you and your life. That’s a Holy Moment.

There are an infinite number of examples one could find that describe what a holy moment would look like if you wanted to.

God is holy because he exemplifies love, mercy, truth, and justice and many other qualities.

I admit I am far from holy, but all Christians should be constantly striving to be like Christ in their lives.

I admit patience is often a challenge.  Many of us struggle with patience.  I need more patience I will admit.

I did a search to see what the Bible has to say about murder and justice.   There is nothing that I could see that gives any consideration to a murderer's mental condition.  In other words I am not aware of any kind of special consideration called NCR.

Nothing at all about a not criminally responsible defence.   It appears that is purely an invention of liberals in the recent times.

Of course judges have always had the discretion of giving sentences based on all the facts at their disposal.  But that is not the same as an NCR law that defines how a criminal trial will be conducted and forcing the trial to operate in a certain way depending on alleged mental state of an accused.

If it's what experts determine is the best course of action and there's a lot more funding to facilitate it safely and provide treatment.

Otherwise we should also be willing to err on the side of patients rights. Locking people up should never be taken lightly.

Not that much more money and it is not a "patient" we are talking about, these are people who have been convicted of crimes harming others who shouldn't be let back out on the streets... and many of these cases are not one off's, they are repeat offenders.

It should not be taken lightly to just let mentally ill people prone to violence left to their own devices hoping they don't murder people.

It's not just a claim. If they're NCR due to a mental illness, the law is saying they're not criminals. You just don't get it.

To make the law work the way you want will require some pretty fundamental changes to our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

What Charter of Rights and Freedoms are you talking about? The last i heard was the COR was ripped up and put thru the shredder. There is no more rights and freedoms in Canada anymore. The organizers of the trucker convoy have found that out alright. They are finding out that we are now living in a communist country where rights and freedom do not exist any longer. We can thank lefty lieberals like you for the destruction of rights and freedoms in Canada today.

According to lefty lieberals like you, it is only conservatives that have mental issues. Ha-ha-ha. Go away with your feeling sad for murderers. What's next for you? Feeling sad for rapists? YUP. lol.

Oh jeez there he goes again about the convoy's freedumbs.

Did you not notice what happens to people who can't move on, keep beating a dead horse and keep up with the issues while watching the election results.
