What are the concrete effects of Trump’s and Musk’s vandalism on USAID?

People are dying because funding for their oxygen has been cut off

Nearly $500 million in food could go to waste

Global health will be severely affected:

Programs for nutrition, hygiene, toilets and access to clean water (which have a massive impact on TB and diarrheal diseases) have been impacted

TB clinics have been put at risk

HIV care, treatment and prevention to vulnerable children, have been suspended

Crucial international clinical drug trials have their funds frozen

 

It will take a massive, concentrated effort to repair the damage done to the US global reputation.

Yes, China and Russia are watching.

Musk didn’t stand in any election. If he wants to play at politician now, let him suffer the market consequences of disapproval outside the MAGA mob.

I'm not surprised that Democrats are trying to block any sort of financial accountability. They are perfectly fine with tax dollars going to fund nonsense like drag story hours while the average person struggles to put food on the table. 

The judges blocking the necessary financial reforms are quite vile

It's because I'm against covid restrictions that I'm for this. 

I would love for the details of the contracts between our government and the vax manufactures to be made public. 

I would also like to know how much of our data we think is going to government is actually going to private businesses in P3 type arrangements.
