Their prices would be more competitive with US products. A tariff war will be bad for consumers in both countries.

Ok. Then keep terrorists out of your country. That's all.

Can you name a terrorist attack that was initiated by people who came through Canada?

One country does not get to make rules for everyone else. This is not how the sane world works. We need to find good partners and stable partnerships. That makes way more sense when trying to please and comfort an insane neighbor on each his sneeze or itch.

According to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the northern border has seen an unprecedented number of encounters with individuals on the terrorist watchlist, significantly surpassing those at the U.S.-Mexico border in recent years

This is why the new interest in the northern border. We've been so busy watching the southern border, we didn't see that Canada was not the security buffer we once thought it was:

More than 60% of foreigners ordered deported from Canada stayed put  The Canada Border Services Agency figures are from 2016-2022

That article above highlights how Canada is the ideal place to reach the continent and then sneak crossed the border.

You have to admit, the border between Canuck paradise and Yankee land is almost impossible to enforce. All the lakes, forests, and massive length would required thousands upon thousands of agents to patrol it. It is far easier for Canada to just keep the terrorists out and share facial recognition of crossings at the airport.

Are you going to stop all the refugees coming across our border when Trump starts his deportations. If not, well p*ss off.

Well how about that.  Seems like we're actually pretty good at keeping terrorists from crossing our border :)

It's very secure. that's why the bad guys get caught. The percent of people crossing our border who get intercepted is vastly higher than the south.

Now i'm all for improving our immigration situation. It's been a sore point in canada as well. But lets keep it in perspective.  And as i noted you guys are letting guns across in record numbers, so if you want us to tackle one thing you should be prepared to tackle that.

But at the end of the day the normal adult way for two friends to deal with an issue is to sit down and talk and agree on a course of action. Not to threaten each other or their livelyhood. that's just stupid.

Talk to the Blue states. The Red states will hold them.

It's not secure. I've crossed that border hundreds of times fishing. It's allowed. But it is so easy to just stop along the shore and just get off the boat.

Bullshit, you have been giving them plane tickets to blue states.

Because Joe wouldn't deport them. Now that The Don is sending them home, they'll be held.

Thousands will be heading for our border long before you catch them.
