I mean when Pew Research pools reveal that Hilary was the most unpopular first lady in the history of the White House, it should have been a hint not to run with her. In 2016, Trump did not win, as much Hilary lost. The election was hers to lose, and she did. With Kamala, it would have been a miracle if she won. The election was pretty much the American people either choosing or rejecting Trump. Biden should ahve rode with a better vice president. Even now, her inner circle advisers are proving that not only Kamala was the wrong candidate to go with, but how clueless the Democrats are, when it comes to competing in elections. Joe beat Trump. Who are you suggesting can do that NOW? Quote

Which presents new problems. The next guy might turn out to be very smart and be able to appeal to all of the things trump did but put a lot more polish on the package and appeal to an even wider base. The problem with the left whether it's in Canada or the united states is that they tend to look for a white knight. They want the shining armor and the white horse and this person will just ride in and through sheer personality will win the election for them. But especially right now with the people of America and even Canada are really wanting is policy. Competency. A solid plan. A path forward that leads to real prosperity. The left should not be asking who can beat the next trump. The left should be asking what can they offer and put on the table that Americans will want more than anything else and then they can start talking about who can sell that Quote

The Democrats have to decide if they'll keep moving even farther to the left or perhaps a bit back towards the centre( but still far from it). I think Gavin Newsom might be considered a favorite even though he is also far-left and hasn't been good for California. When they picked wacky Tim Walz over Josh Shapiro, it meant they wanted to go farther left. Hillary may even run again. Personally I would have went with Pete Buttigieg. I am aware that he is gay, and one can say if American would accept a gay President. However, he never came across as weak, and could school anyone in a debate. I think America would have forgot about it after he schooled Trump in a debate. Kamala's problem was that she had alcohol issues, and looked soft and weak to the Americans public, and that to the American public, was more important than being a con man. Quote

LOL god help us all I think we would see Michelle Obama run before we saw Hillary. I think even the democrats are realizing that excessively old candidates aren't a great idea. Honestly I don't think they have anybody that's going to get the job done. The party has become infested with those on the left who would run exactly the same campaign but Kamala did and would not appeal to Americans for exactly the same reasons. They need to become about honesty and truth and facts and most importantly a clear vision for the future economically and socially without the woke nonsense that they can clearly articulate. They're still believing they should be woke and it's all about personalities and giggling. They're never going to succeed with that. Quote
ironstone Posted November 30, 2024 Report Posted November 30, 2024 This is where I heard about Hillary possibly running again. Could be Chunk Yogurt too😉 1 Quote "Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it." Thomas Sowell
