The reason why you base your argument on one year out of the last 5 decades, is that you have no rebuttal as to why Democratic Leaders such as Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Barack Obama handled the economy exponentially better than George Bush Sr, George Bush Jr, and Donald trump. It's actually quite pathetic how you ignore the fact that every single recession going back 50 years, has occurred under Republican leadership (1973, 1982, 1990, 2001, 2008, and 2020). Other than Ronald Reagan, name one Republican president who ended up leaving office, without the US economy in the shitter, and the national dept spiralling out of control. You really can't exclude Reagan there. His economy was on debt steroids, overspending at record levels. The GHWB recession was in many ways just the come-down from Reagan excesses. GHWB was the only"fiscally responsible" Republican in the modern era. And, of course, Trump's fiscal policy was epically irresponsible. Record-setting awful. 1 Quote
Nationalist Posted November 16, 2024 Report Posted November 16, 2024 Good grief...Libbies are still trying to convince anyone who won't laugh in their faces, that the Brandon economy is anything but horrible. Libbies...the key to US economic success is in fossil fuels. That you planks haven't come to grips with that yet, only further exemplifies you complete detachment from reality. 1 Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

Your feelings<<<<facts. Define a good economy? The economy is very good--by any measure at this point. And as has been explained to you many, many times, you information-proof goon, we've had record fossil fuel production under Biden. We're energy independent. (That's a problematic term within a global market, but it's a fact that we're net energy exporters.) Your ignorance of economics is fine. Nobody know everything. You refusal to learn and even acknowledge basic facts is a much bigger problem. Your "argument" is self defeating. Not even vaguely rational. You say fossil fuels are the key to economic success. It is a fact that under Biden we've produced more fossil fuel energy than ever before. And then you want to claim that the economy is terrible. Jeebus. You'd have a better chance of saying something correct if you just assembled random words. Edited November 16, 2024 by Hodad 1 Quote

There are similar flaws with virtually every single one of these. The covid one was a convenient example to offer because it's fresh in people's mind and so egregious that it makes it obvious that the democrats are trying to lie. It's an example of how dishonest people like you are with the statistics. You're going to pretend that somehow Covid lockdowns where everyone was sent home is a loss of jobs. I think at that point is pretty obvious that you're being dishonest with everything. Quote The reason why you base your argument on one year out of the last 5 decades, is that you have no rebuttal as to why Democratic Leaders such as Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Barack Obama handled the economy exponentially better than George Bush Sr, George Bush Jr, and Donald trump. Actually I do and I've mentioned one or two of them before. Like I said you guys are liars and you use false statistics to try and present dishonest misinformation. There's no point in going through them all because you tend to ignore it. Case in point, you can't even own up to the fact that the covid numbers are complete bull crap. Nonsense. Recessions don't come out of nowhere. As I have said before and addressed before vast majority of cases are democrats mishandling the economy and republicans stepping in to clean up the mess. As we say in Canada when times are tough turn to the tories. For example the 2009 recession was a direct and absolutely 100% result of democrat policies under Clinton making it super easy for people to borrow to buy homes. That led to a bubble, and of course by the time the bubble bursts the democrats have been thrown out If you want to see something pathetic, look at your own dodging and avoiding of the fact that you included the covid numbers when you're trying to suggest that somehow there was a net job loss under trump. If you were half as smart as you think you are you'd be twice as smart as you actually are. 3 minutes ago, DUI_Offender said: Let me know when you can refute my argument with facts, and not just Ad hominen attacks...
