We Canadians get along. Unlike Americans, we have never had a civil war.

Unlike the Swedes, we get involved.

Unlike the Austrian-Hungarians, we have a functioning bilingual federal state.

Unlike the Chinese and Japanese, we welcome foreigners.

Unlike the Russians/Bulgarians, we have never been occupied. Huh? French Canada has survived.

The Nixon/Kissinger world-view was like Trudeau Snr: counterweights.

The Reagan world-view was: "We win, you lose."

Prior to 1989, we in the West confronted an ideological enemy. Reagan was correct. He won.

Now, we in the West confront a multi-polar world. For peace, we must think like Kissinger/Nixon/Trudeau.

True, but then, we never had to really have a revolution either. During the brief time when Canadian leaders started rebelling against the UK, they'd just hop over the border when the British troops came and went right back once they left :-p.

The U.S. briefly occupied a bit of Canada back in 1812. Granted it wasn't exactly much of an occupation :-p. For those who haven't heard of it:

IMHO, Europeans kill each other after a few generations.

The period of 1914-1945 was typical.

Like 1789-1815.

I left Canada before they banned flights for people who were unvaccinated for covid and haven't gone back.

WOW...i'm sure Historians around the globe would disagree, we have a huge group in Quebec that want to go their separate way, a huge group in Alberta that wants the same thing, we have huge english / french divide, not to mention the left and right side of politics that can't even talk to each other, lets not even mention the LGBTQ war on Parents and other woke agendas...., Palestinian protests that are making it unsafe for Israelis Canadians, unvaccinated vs the vaccinated that was fun times, Convoy supporters vs Ottawa citizens, gun owners vs non gun owners, every federal department is on fire while we Canadians break out the marshmallows.... Unions that want more money , to work from home...Canadians don't get along....we tolerate those in our close circle the rest well F*ck the rest it is every one for themselves...Liberal /NDP government have divided this country into little pieces....and you for some reason can't see all of that from all the smoke around you....This country is one huge dumpster fire...

That means everything we have avoided a civil war...SO what,lots of countries have not had one, does not prove anything one way or another...

We get along , perhaps in your drug induced coma, we do get along...and maybe your some nice guy that has not been outside in 20 years....The global doomsday clock has never been closer to the world tearing itself apart....and we has a nation will be dragged kicking and screaming into that reality...."we get along" what a joke.... given half a chance Canadians will tear themselves apart....

We Canadians do not fight violently - no one dies.

Look at Syria, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Ukraine. We Canadians have such divisions.
