The CBS debacle a few weeks ago where they selectively edited Harris' interview to her benefit has set off a firestorm on social media.

Many are calling for the end of the benefits given to the media who they feel have become the propaganda arm of one political party.

I would tend to agree with the criticism

The public spectrum is entirely irrelevant anyway.  THe idea that it's subsidized isn't accurate - it's like a common domain that is licensed off.  But if they got rid of the spectrum, the big networks would continue to exist.  FOX is one of these also and they're not mentioned of course.

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

Ironically the most BLATANT example of "propaganda arm of one political Party" is FOS LIES and has been FOR YEARS.

CBS didn't LIE like FOS. Duh

What CBS did was worse than a lie. It was corrupt to it's core.

CBS, NBC, and ABC are not Government subsidised. Only PBS, which relies on the CPB is somewhat subsidised.

There is no equivalent in America to the CBC.

They get many perks off the backs of the public.

I also agree.

FOX is the closest thing to reliable in the mainstream, but even they have their issues.

I check out Newsmax. They're pretty reliable.

Newsmax is a good one. There's also AON who are brilliant.

Social media and podcasts seems to be the news now. Just follow a couple of folks who are influencers on either side to get the full picture of the election.

I'll have to check out AON - never heard of that one.

SkyNews Australia is pretty good. It's sad that we Americans have to rely on non-US sources sometimes to get honest reporting.
