Oh come on, Henry Ford was a rabid anti-Semite, an admirer of Hitler, an America Firster, went along with placing Nazis on the Board of Ford Germany, accepted medals from the Nazia and continued to profit from German operations until the Declaration of War.
He himself was as authoritarian as you can get with: thug enforcers in the shops and killing of union organizers and strikers.
Not exactly a Churchill or Roosevelt defender of democracy.
