But you've not been open about your desire to ban IVF as it actually exists, instead of the non-existent version where they don't destroy fertilized cells. How have I not been open? See, instead of responding to what I say, you have to steer this discussion to absurdly mischaracterizing what I am doing. Never mind half the other lines of bad argument you have abandoned on here. But apparently you don't represent the view of most Republicans in this issue, so chasing every one of your tedious rabbit trails serves no further purpose. Also you lack the normal human reciprocity that makes a friendly debate with people of opposing views interesting. 1 Quote
impartialobserver Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 There has always been a small, niche sect of Conservative Christians who are against birth control and therefore IVF. However, some research shows that not enough would get behind such legislation at a federal level. I could see Louisiana or Arkansas trying this but nationally.. not quite Quote

You were the one who wanted my opinion here, I gave it to you. You started this thread ignorant of the Republican position and I helped you out. You don't deserve reciprocity of friendly debate when you make up crap I never said to argue against. Quote LOL, when people have to tell you they are ignoring you... But that's also a pretty good illustration of why the Supreme Court and the presidency matter. Even people who have the misfortune of living in Louisiana or Arkansas deserve to have their basic rights secured against an overreaching state or a tyrannical majority. 1 Quote

Leftists have no real ammo for Kamala, so they're trying to make "IVF, OMG" into an election issue. *yawn* 1 Quote If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. It's just allowed and they're aren't enough dummies on both sides to stop it 2. don't think it's just conservatives against it. David Suzuki is one of the furthest-left and most influential nutjobs that you'll ever find in Canada, and he has suggested that helping people overcome their fertility issues may be a step too far for science. "Playing God". I don't see how saving one's life when they're dying of cancer, and then having that person go on to have children, is any different from helping a woman with a fallopian tube issue, but you'd have to ask him about that.
