Of course, Lib supporters will accept that excuse.  "Well, they can't know everything!"

Don't Con supporters say the same thing?

Oh look @Goddess,  you were right :)

Well, at least the Cons are willing to do something about it.

Libs/NDP will likely vote against this bill.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Meanwhile...

Conservative leader claimed lobbyists are ‘utterly useless’ — even as he or his staff met with Canadian Fuels Association, Enbridge, TC Energy and others

PP said lobbyists should speak to the public directly instead of just privately to politicians.

Whatever else this bill is supposed to do I doubt it'll include much if anything in the way of preventative measures against corruption. It'll be no different than Harper's kick at making things more accountable - after the fact and too little too late. Just go ask Jody Wilson-Raybould.

If the coalition allows it to pass, I hope the bill includes the stipulation that the fines are paid out of their own pocket and not from the taxpayer purse, like when Guilbeault paid his $20,000 fine with OUR money.

So I asked Jody, and she pointed out that it was in fact harper's law that Trudeau fell a foul of. If it wasn't for harper's law he would have gotten away with what he was trying to do. As it was because of that law he did not.

Swinging a miss kiddo. As usually you haven't got the faintest clue what you're talking about. Harper's changes are exactly what caused the snc scandal.

Because you've made a lifetime habit of lying to yourself  about what you see.  You've been saying so for decades now ;)

Wow, you've been reduced to stealing trump quotes to defend your stupidity :P That's pretty bad

At the end of the day you don't have any idea what anybody's talking about. You have tunnel vision focusing on your own echo chambers ideology I don't bother with such things as free thought or intelligent or rational consideration of the issues.

And that's why you don't believe the truth even when you see it. You never have. But I am sure that once again it's my fault or harpers :)

I doubt very much that they even could include that.  I'm not sure what that language would even look like legally.

And lets be real  even if its out of their own pockets it's STILL from the taxpayers.  They'll just let them sit on some committee and collect an extra fee for it and voila.

You'd have to pass some sort of new legislation or something to really give it teeth.
