Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe was directly involved in denying additional security resources and personnel, including counter snipers, to former President Trump’s rallies and events – despite repeated requests by the agents assigned to Trump’s detail in the two years leading up to his July 13 attempted assassination, according to several sources familiar with the decision-making.

If Ruh Rowe was in charge of asset allocation, why is he in charge of investigating what happened? Isn't that like a bank robber investigating how he robbed the bank?

Ruh Rowe needs to be suspended until it is known if he acted on good faith, incompetence or bad faith.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Better idea: Fire everyone in the Secret Service. That seems to be what you want, right? Fire the leader. Fire her replacement. Fire his replacement. Fire their replacement.

Being dense, you probably don't understand: Congress gives the Secret Service a budget. They cannot spend more than this budget. Trump burns through Secret Service dollars like it's candy. He travels constantly and wants to be outdoors, where it is far more difficult to defend.

George Bush and Obama don't travel 10 times a week and stand in front of massive outdoor crowds constantly. That's Trump's decision. Congress sets the budget, and that's that.

If Trump wasn't doing running for President, he wouldn't be doing rallies. So they would need USSS for the other Republican candidate. Your argument is void.

He doesn't need to chince out with outdoor rallies which are much harder to defend. Duh

They've already admitted that securing that roof was easy and should have been done.

BUTLER, Pa. – A whistleblower told Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley that Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe Jr. personally directed cuts to the Counter Surveillance Division (CSD), which led to the threat assessment team failing to perform its typical duties prior to the Butler, Pennsylvania rally.

The senator's report comes after lawmakers grilled agency leaders on the mounting security failures at the Pennsylvania rally where former President Trump narrowly escaped assassination.

The whistleblower alleged that the Secret Service CSD, the division that performs threat assessment of event sites before the event occurs, did not perform its evaluation prior to the fateful rally in Western Pennsylvania on July 13.

"This is significant because CSD's duties include evaluating potential security threats outside the security perimeter and mitigating those threats during the event," Hawley wrote in a letter to Rowe on Thursday.

The whistleblower further alleged that if the CSD performed their normal duties, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks "would have been handcuffed in the parking lot."

I don't normally quote so much, but it was all so important. Rowe was directly responsible for reducing the manpower that led to the shooter getting to the roof with a gun. The information comes from a whistleblower.

The whistleblowers are coming out of the woodwork. There is a Clear difference of opinion from the boots on the ground and the brass behind the desk. And it appears the brass are incompetent.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Can you show us where Security was limited because of the budget? Where anyone in the Secret Service denied the additional security because the bank was empty, and oh well, we just can't do anything about that?

Can you show us where the Secret Service director went to Congress and asked for more money because without it they are not able to provide the coverage really needed?

These are all rhetorical questions, I know you can't really do any of the above. You are just grasping at straws to defend what happened. Not sure why really, this shouldn't be that partisan of an issue that the Secret Service should have done more and could have done more.
