1. People can make their own choices, obviously.

Ok Mike...you just got cornered and ran away with a really dumb reply.

You make an assertion...get called on it...get frustrated that someone dare dispute your assertion...and go for you favorite name-calling..."chud".

It does take 2 to tango. But it first takes one to suggest the tango. If the suggestion is to try to tango to Love Me Tender, the suggestion is...stupid.

I saw what was going on with Clark. It was not basketball. It was race-based bullshit. Frankly I think all those who abused her on the court, should be unceremoniously tossed from the game indefinitely.

If this crap goes on in the coming year, womens' basketball may devolve into a brawl.

And Mike...it won't be those "chuds" who insite the brawl.

Still, nobody can name me 3 current WNBA players that isn't Caitlin Clark or Britney Griner.

Nobody can. Thats precisely whats wrong with the WNBA.

Thats not sexism, it's reality.

Bring the same skillset as a LeBron James, Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant, and the seats will fill themselves.

The market is already saturated. We have the NBA. Women don't usually watch sports and men are already watching the NBA. I tried to watch a bit of the WNBA this last year only because Caitlin Clark was playing and it was like watching paint dry. Its like going from Xbox Graphics to Nintendo 64. Its just not fun to watch.

Bill Barr had a great joke on this in one of his shows, where he blamed all the women in the audience for the WNBA being a failure. Don't blame men. If all the women started watching the WNBA, it could be as much or more popular than the NBA.

Sure they do, but the issue is it isn't the WNBA.

There just isn't much skill. Nobody wants to say this, because they fear being labeled as sexist.

Wide open uncontested shots, seemingly are often missed unless they are taken by a select few.

You pay to watch the best play. You support your own family members or friends that play. Not a bunch of strangers.

My wife watches NBA religiously. Tried to watch a WNBA game with her, and could see she just wasn't feeling it.

Her daughter is insanely skilled at basketball (and humiliates boys all the time), but is 5' tall. I would rather watch her daughter shoot hoops, than many in the WNBA.

Not a slight to her daughter, but strictly to state that the WNBA doesn't seem to present what feels like the best on the planet. If that is the best, then the best women are just not good enough to get people watching.

There is a reason Venus Williams is rich. Ronda Rousey.

Its because their skillset is so high, they by this alone, can attract fans to want to pay hundreds of dollars a pop, to watch them.

For those of you not familiar with the name, Caitlin Clark is a young rookie phenom in women's basketball.

Her skillset is just not something you see often, regardless of gender.

IE lethal shot, pin point accurate passing, elite handles on the ball, and three throw shots she can drop at will.

One issue. She's elite, but white.

Not even a full season in, and she has gotten ratings that rival NBA games, when she plays.

This is for a sport that averaged 200k to 500k views per game (dismal numbers for pro sports like basketball).

Skyrocket that to 1.5 to 2 million views, seemingly overnight, to sellout crowds to watch her play.

This translates to millions of dollars of extra sponsorship bucks. Millions of more eyes on your sport. Better salaries for players, etc.

Whats not to like?

There lies the problem. The backlash for her skill, has been swift. Veterans to current players publicly throwing shade her way, to dirty plays being made on her, by players not even attempting to hide how much they hate her.

Then there's the Olympic team snub. Some say its because she doesn't match the woke agenda they are pushing. IE being a racial minority, and part of the LGBTQ movement.

Shes polite, courteous (even when having to answer to venomous comments about her by league peers) and shows love to her fans. But is also a proud catholic.

Is it possible to be too white for basketball?

Is Caitlin Clark not gay or black enough for the WNBA?

Yes and yes.

Hang on a minute something called the WNBA (Womens National BRAWLING Association) just might actually make a ton of money.
