I'm sure there are a million grad papers about the Patriarchy and the feminization of government but, sure males are into "systems" like trade agreements.  They help the overall population but leave a minority in the lurch.

I'm convinced that technology and the global baby bust is going to make the world into a matriarchal federation of tribes by the early 22nd century.

I've told this story before but...While Hillary-Billary was running for POTUS, she did an interview on CNN. My mother-in-law, who speaks no English, was watching it with me. At one point she pointed at the TV and said, "That. There is why women need to stay out of politics!"

I worked with a bunch of highly university educated women who scoffed at men who checked their tire pressure regularly:

"OMG. There's already air inside!" *they all collectively laugh*

I smile to avoid making things awkward, but more based on a trying to avoid laughing at myself thinking that this was precisely the exact same content between their ears. They would make comments like this regularly, but where attractive so men would play along.

Didn't love the last one cuz she was a brainiac. The one before was one, but was emotionally evil. The first wife was pretty smart and politically equal, but she couldn't boil a hot dog, pay off a bill without borrowing and drank like a fish.
My girls were raised not to expect too much as men aren't all that bright. But sex is irrelevant to brains... my daughter did ask at 22 where seaweed came from.

Homer Simpson seems to be an acceptable interpretation of what it is to be a man. Bordering on being a caveman, needing a woman for basic survival.

Women are pushing back heavy on being portrayed as damsels to be rescued, because its demeaning to women.

This has little to nothing to do with being "self-centred". It has to do with;

A. Sex. There is a difference between how male and female brains function.

B. Culture and Society. IMO, the BIGGEST mistake Americans...and a lot of others...make, is to assume everyone wants to be just like them. While there are a lot of similarities among all humans, there are distinct differences. Very distinct. To superimpose YOUR values and beliefs on anyone...especially someone on the other side of the planet...is what we might call a BAD idea.
