Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

It's unfortunate that you take NOT KNOWING THE FACTS gives you the right to substitute WILD ASS GUESSES as fact.

It DOESN'T.

So Joe's handlers told Iran that it was OK to attack Israel as long as it wasn't too bad. Is this a joke?

Its obviously not okay, but it is their lawful right to self defense after the attack on their consulate.

They weren't asking permission. They were telling the US they were going to attack, and the US were warning them, that only a certain level of attack would be accepted (beyond this, would likely cause the US to intervene further). I don't see where the US gave any blessing, other than two countries essentially giving one another a respectful heads up, clearly not wanting to escalate tensions in the region, but needing to send a message.

This is an attack on sovereign territory. Israel is also within its right to retaliate, but should this retaliation cause mass casualties, it will further isolate itself, globally. Precisely what Iran wants. A lot easier to seriously damage the country, when the most powerful military in the world won't come in and intervene.

Iran clearly and solely wanted to send a message. No deaths occurred. Had it wanted to inflict damage, it would have used far more firepower as well as the element of surprise by using all its proxies to fully overwhelm Israel's defense systems.

This was a highly coordinated, and calibrated attack.

Let me guess, Reuters is not a credible source?

I'll bet Israel itself knew exactly what was going to happen.

A forwarned attack that was practically 100% defended.

It was fireworks 🎇

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

Iran didn’t want to send a message. The regime, just like the U.S. government, was forced to retaliate or else lose political support.  Sadly, a seven year-old girl is nearly dead and permanently crippled as a result.

But I think this is the end, for now. Israel killed the guy plotting terrorist acts against Israel, Iran got their token retaliation, and that’s that.  We’ll see, but I think it would be very foolish for Israel to retaliate for this.

Play war games, and its usually the people who get burnt.

Israel played with fire.

They will likely retaliate, and open the flood gates for a level of aggression that may potentially overwhelm them.

Nobody knows whether the US will intervene.

To be fair, the Iranians are expert negotiators.

The Ayatollah got Biden on the phone and said: "Can we bring you an ice cream cone and bomb Israel?" and Joe said "Nexelsrent", which everyone took to mean 'Yes', because he jumped up and down and clapped his hands and pooped a little when he said it.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Iran has a population of 90 million.  Yes, they’re an autocratic dictatorship, but they still need to maintain order inside their nation. They’re already living under sanctions, and a war would be highly destabilizing, especially a war they cannot be certain of winning. Even if they do win, or result in a stalemate, their regime may not survive the civilian backlash they’ll face after bombing campaigns.

Israel has far more to lose in a war with Iran, and they have little to win.

That's not a wild ass guess. That is the restatement of what the Turkish official said. He said that Washington (aka the Whitehouse aka the POTUS aka Joe's handlers) told Iran they could strike Israel as long as it was out side the bounds. I didn't guess. I just put it in words you could understand.

IT's YOUR WILD ASS GUESS interpretation "of what the Turkish official said."

Sorry you don't get to attribute YOUR SPECULATION to Reuters.
