The Green Party - mostly because they're on the appropriate side of history instead of being ideologically hard-boiled.

You don't get more ideologically hard boiled than the greens.

And lets get real - you'll vote liberal or ndp just like you always do, if you don't just sit at home and pout over how badly the left screwed things up.

"which of the national party leaders they would least like to sit next to on a long flight, 21 per cent said Poilievre and the same number, 21 per cent, said Trudeau. "

"

Why does it matter? Anyone involved in politics will tell you that likeability matters.

“I’ve worked in some political campaigns and, quite frankly, the campaigns are always easier when you have a leader who is genuinely liked and respected by the voters,” said Andrew Enns, an executive vice-president at Leger.

Canadians think likeability is an important issue, too. In the same Postmedia-Leger poll, 77 per cent of respondents said they want a party leader who they can relate to."

This is a bit of a misunderstood topic.  "Likeability" won't get anyone elected at all.  You "like" people who are the same as you and at the same 'level' as you in life genderally speaking.  What people are actually looking for in the politicians is 'relatability'.   That is not the same thing.

They want to believe their politicians have similar lifestyles and are similar to them, just a little smarter and more comptetent. But they want to know that the politician gets what it's like to be a father in trying times, and WHY it's important to them to be able to drive their kids to hockey etc etc.

In short they want to know that the politician is human just like them. THAT is what they want/

Harper's popularity soared after he sang that beetles song because the people saw him as relatable and human for the first time.

people don't need to 'like' the leader but they do need to believe he gets them - and the polling over the last several months indicates the public thinks PP gets them and justin does not.

It is a poll, like the ones you keep upchucking.

No, they don't need to like a leader but it  gets to you that your idol worship of PP and he is is not likeable... or equally as unlikeable as Justin.... LOL

Not politically, I'd say they're more environmentally hard-boiled.

They get a big benefit of doubt however because they've never been in power and don't seem to have been caught up in any political corruption.

If you are a party in Canada and campaign for votes, you are a political party.

Actually, of all the leaders, I think Elizabeth May has the best head on her shoulders. Don't like her party but she is one smart lady. The last time she was leader and participated in debates, she ate the others for lunch on all topics.

No I don't - if you're in for a penny you're in for a pound.

Like I've been saying, when it's obvious that PP is as useless as Trudeau halfway thru his 1st term, it'll be all over but the whining.

Hopefully when the pendulum roars past him it'll swing straight by the Liberals and we can finally get a real left - wing government in Ottawa.

You're a piece of work eyeball . . . . how could any elected Canadian federal government be worse than what's in Ottawa now.  PP has to do very little to be a 100% improvement over the Jughead/Justin  - - Edgar Bergen/Charlie McCarthy duo.

There's never been a left wing government in power in Canada, ever.

And you're just trolling as usual.

I've actually trolled for a living and it's obvious you need to sharpen your hooks - you can't even hook anyone never mind pull them in.

Dude - once again you've let yourself get so upset today that you're making no sense.  On SEVERAL threads.

You seem to be suggesting that for some reason if others think that PP isn't likeable I will be offended.  I can't even think how that works - do you think that way just because people don't like justin trudeau, your hero? so you assume others feel that way?

I'm excited about what PP will bring to the table as leader and prime minister - and the polling indicates that most of the rest of the country is too.

I just pointed out that theres'  a big difference between that and being 'likeable'. Guess for you its the same thing :)

I know voting Green will likely accomplish little but for me voting for them remains the only appropriate choice given the circumstance the planet and my grandkids will find themselves in.

I'll likely be retired by the time we have our next election and I'm planning on using my time to campaign for them.

they have no influence whatsoever - so you'd be just as well off not voting at all.

Lets not pretend either of those choices will do your grandkids any good.

"It's important to remember that people can have different opinions and perspectives on political figures. Just because someone values a leader's policies and abilities doesn't necessarily mean they are automatically offended or feel attacked if someone else doesn't find that leader likable. It's possible to appreciate someone's leadership qualities without requiring them to be universally liked by everyone. And yes, for some individuals, the likability factor may not carry as much weight as the person's effectiveness in their roles."

But we know your PP idol worship has complete blinded you. LOL

Of course I'm the bad Papa who does donuts on the boat, rides the zipline with them and lets them ride in the back of the pickup when ripping up and down the logging roads.

Sounds more like your anger at the left destroying the country and then being utterly rejected as the losers you are has blinded you kiddo :)   i make sensible arguments as to why PP will be in a good position to do some good. You post ass porn and fantasize about me.  I think that it's pretty obvious which of us is struggling mentally with all of this :)

Yeah - the losers.  The side of the people who did nothing but pretended they care. The woke that went broke.

I can't imagine why you'd be happy about that.

Mulroney with Airbus? Chretien with Shawinigate. Harper with G8 funding to friends.

Lets not get into who gives more favours. You know as well as I do that they all do it for their own benefit.

You get it. Political favours are what keeps the political wheels turning :)

No, I'm the Greenie that protests unsustainable fishing and logging that governments allow to happen.

The flip side of the coin that says overfishing/logging etc says government mismanagement.

Do you honestly think the Green Party would have any effect on the climate?

Elizabeth May is just an often drunk misguided idealist.
