BC to sue producers of "harmful" products.

Exactly. And cars and tools are subject to regulations.

But not lawsuits.  If you sell a car here that meets all the regulations and someone misuses it - then that's THEIR fault. Not the manufacturer. Put in all the regulations you want - but if the company complies and sells the product then they're not to blame if it's misused if they complied with your regulation.

You starting to get this now?

Guys that make exploding gas tanks in their Pintos are subject to lawsuits.

???? As usual, your reading dyslexia strikes again.

Not in canada they're not. Name the canadian lawsuit against ford for the pinto.

The pinto was built and certified as being to code and safety standards in canada.

now - if ford knows there's a safety concern and hides it, then that's something different. But no - nobody got to sue ford in Canada because of a problem with the pinto.

And that would still be completely different than suing someone for deliberately misusing it.

You just don't get this do you. You're just not smart enough to be able to put this all together in your mind.

I would tend to argue that the gov't causes harm. Can we ban Eby?

Oh lol - yeah!

And we can lump the Liberal/NDP coalition with that  - for the carbon tax.

Really?! BC's major export is the dirtiest form of energy: sulfur rich coal which they export to the biggest polluters on the planet, China and India. BC's liberal greenie government is just a sad reflection of the hypocritical federal liberals. BC hates Alberta oil because they want to continue shipping their dirty coal and Ottawa hates Alberta oil because they are in business with the Saudi's.
