In fact a number of the minimum sentences were shot down under Trudeau and he just allowed the courts to do that. But as I say the biggest problem is the catch and release program where they're caught doing a violent defense in the morning and they're on the streets again in the afternoon. This is resulted in dozens and dozens of assaults and murders including one girl who had her rapist arrested and he was released that afternoon and went out and raped her again. By any crime metric Justin has been an absolute unmitigated disaster Pretty sure that changed back in 2018, when the minimum sentence went up. And every Premier and police chief is been screaming about it for a year now. This isn't conjecture. This is a well recognized fact. And he's doing nothing about it. Which means you can put it on the pile of critical things he's not doing anything about.

It's in the criminal code and I don't remember a court finding this piece of legislation unconstitutional.

I think you're conflating two things. There were some manditory minimums thrown out and trudeau chose not to fix them and put them back,  but he actually brought in laws regarding bail which lets out repeat violent offenders automatically. There have been a large number of cases where those people go out and reoffend, sometimes the same day.

Or use the notwithstanding clause. So basically what you're saying is you know you were wrong and you got caught trying to change the subject and you're hoping ignoring what i said will help with that  LOLOLOL Trudeau is letting tonnes of very violent repeat criminals back out on the streets with his laws. They're killing and hurting people. That's bad. The manditory minimum thing is bad too. But getting people killed is probably worse. I'm sure we can fix both once we get rid of the woke that's ruined our country for 10 years and get an actual adult leading the gov't.
