"Fans will receive copies of “The Family Book” by Todd Parr, “The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman, “Beloved” by Toni Morrison, or one of the books from the “Girls Who Code” series by the nonprofit that shares the same name. "

My guess is that for a book to make this banned books list, it has to be banned at some point recently by any library, school district, city, county, etc. As for being able to buy it on amazon, you are correct. I bought Mein Kempf, which is far more offensive than anything on this list could ever be on Amazon.

PEN America says its data showed that Florida had the highest number of book ban cases, more than 1,400, and the largest number of school districts, 33, removing books in the last school year.

Well they appear to be for sale in florida too.  If by 'banned' they mean that there's a few libraries that don't carry them, then that's very disingenuous and a completely incorrect use of the term.

Sigh - does the left never just use honesty? I feel like everything's got to be a hyper exaggerated lie with them.

Pretty IGNORANT.

From the article:

“It’s especially hateful to see authorities take aim at books about race and racism and against LGBTQ authors and those of color.

Being queer is a RACE?

Races are Caucasian, Negroid and Mongolian. Being a queer is NOT a race.

People of color?

EVERYBODY IS OF COLOR. Put another way that the brain dead PINK might grasp, brown and black are not the ONLY colors in the spectrum.

FLorida schools do not carry PORNOGRAPHY. Those are the only books that were banned from Florida schools.

We know thare are areas in California that banned "Of Mice And Men" and "Huckleberry Finn," two American literature classics. So the left has no fugging room to talk.
